ποΈ recommend a movie or movies with similar vibes dead ringers: hmmmm... i wanna say excision (2012). it just instantly popped into my head when i read dead ringers so i think that's the one. wait actually you can have one more. the dark mirror (1946) <33 the devils: to be clear this is only based on subjective vibes not story or anything but to me in the mouth of madness (1994) comes to mind like i think they'd make an interesting double feature. the heiress: YAY my favourite olivia de havilland vehicle god i need a rewatch... anyway i feel like this is too obvious but i can't not make the rec so i'm gonna say gaslight (1944)

5. whats your drink of choice? coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop/soda variety?
ok so for all three: large extra hot skinny latte bc if its not burning my tongue why am i even having a hot drink. if im just at home vibing w friends ill do a diet coke mixed with vodka (cheap. gets you drunk fast) but if im feeling fancy and out at a bar somewhere ill do a lemondrop or a japanese slipper if they offer it! soju too. fizzy drink ummm either pepsi max or ginger beer
11. what kind of music is stuck in your head recently?
oh my god for like the past 6 days on and off ive had silent night stuck in my head and im going insane its my least favourite christmas carol (carol of the bells and christmas please come home go hard) and IT WONT LEAVE
13. whats something you learned recently?
that theres significant scientific debate over whether crustaceans feel pain or not?? like not even "is it ethical that lobsters are killed by being boiled alive bc if theyre uncooked for too long they become poisonous" idk i guess the scientists would know more than me but i feel like it should be a given that they would feel pain? just bc they cant like scream or be like "ouch that hurts" doesnt mean they dont have pain receptors (they do). oomfs please weigh in on your thoughts of lobster and shrimp pain

3. favourite music artist/group you started listening to this year?
gonna go with peach prc! i rlly like all her stuff plus shes a local artist which is always a perk. sadly probably never gonna be able to see her live bc techno/electronic shows 99% of the time have a ton of flashing lights ;__;
4. movie of the year?
the ugly stepsister/den stygge stesΓΈsteren (2025)! its a film telling the story of the ugly stepsister from cinderella, and a horror film. its soooo good and lush both in plot and visuals. highly encourage anyone to watch but its got a lot of possible triggers/uncomfortable things in it so maybe look at the doesthedogdie page for it here
5. tv show of the year?
i started watching. yellowjackets this year and its so good idk why i slept on it for so long
11. something you want to do again next year?
do more language short courses! this year i did a semester of auslan/australian sign language to get a qualification and even though it was anxiety inducing (it was immersion learning so no talking allowed unless its an emergency) it was so worth it
14. favourite book you read this year?
ok lowk cant lie ive been struggling to read as much as i normally do but i think either the honeyeater by jessie tu or korea: a history of north and south by ramon pacheco pardo and victor cha
