BuyVM and Ubuntu VNC

I just bought two opVZ 2GB Node from buyVM stock release in October 15. It just cost 12.95 for each box and comes with 6TB total BW. What a great deal :)

Ubuntu VNC Server
I installed DesktopOS (Ubuntu 10.04 Based) image from buyVM. Most important steps is to run "vncpasswd" in shell and set password then use "chicken of the VNC" app for Mac. Just point the IP of the box with password. Then ready to go!
Note: After reboot for the first time, ssh won't work anymore due to VNC server inside the box. Haven't tried workaround but my way is to loign to "Control Panel" and use "console" then start VNC server as seen on here.
vncserver :1 -depth 16 -geometry 1028x1024
Then use vnc server and build-in terminal inside Ubuntu.
Firefox 7 and jDownloader
After that, I installed Firefox7 and jDownloader [ instruction ]. So now I don't need to download and upload all music files from home. Just download directly to the Box. Amazing :) Alternative command line downloader for Ubuntu is Axel.
