The character on the left is Talat Mortimer, basically a mad scientist working as a college professor. The one on the right is Raegan [insert last name that I was too lazy to think of], fire mage working at the school more because he's friends with the headmaster than because he's actually qualified (students love him and learn really well, though). Mortimer is agressively antisocial, and Raegan is the only reason he actually eats and sleeps every day. Canonically, there are no romantic feelings between them, but that won't stop me from making aus/headcanons of my own characters because they're adorable together but I like their relationship better as a platonic one in canon.
So yeah platonic husbands, coworkers, both in their 40s probably, neither really qualified for their job and yet somehow really good at it, and here they're just having a nice moment in the moonlight (you can tell that's a giant window, right?)
Also yeah this one isn't as good or clean or finished as the others because I'm tired. I wasn't even going to do it because I didn't have time or energy, but then people were being too loud for me to sleep, so... enjoy this labor of absolute pain and agony. I'm going to sleep for the next 3 years.
