I think he definitely had a typical noble which shaped how he interacts with them all. He's been groomed to take over this title since he was a child which came with a lot of responsibilities and not a lot of people that genuinely cared about him. The people around him either wanted money, power, or to betray him, so he had to keep himself pretty isolated over the years. Then when he's auditing his properties he comes to Oakhurst and finds these people that care about him because of who his is, not what he has. They don't want his power, and they would stay if he lost it all. And for the first time, he lets himself actually get invested in these people and learns to love and trust others.
