Sometimes, after a snake eats something, you can see the consumed creature struggling to get out, struggling not to "fall asleep", prior to being digested. I bet that the way hungry consumes souls is by compressing them into digital files and slowly degrading them over time; similar to how a snake digests animals after eating them whole.

theory 3: hungry is an "infected" player, and the fact that it can move through save files may be indicative of its ability to move through gridworld? it can still reason beyond primal desire, so maybe the infection has not entirely consumed it. it also looks almost-human, draped in a robe, plus has a nametag.

I thought it was implied Tempo’s parlor was chosen as a “Last Resort” in a way. I think it was “The Madam” who moved away?

It was implied that a properly trained Slave was a lot different from one that’s Broken. Sees being a slave as a good thing in a way, trained to thrive in this new life… it makes me really wonder the differences between a Well Trained and a Broken pet…

Lavender seems to be The Bar in a way for what a “Quality” Slave is like. She came from what’s implied as a top tier parlor. She is intelligent yet knows her station. Quiet yet every move holds meaning. Knows how to draw attention to herself…

The only reason they didn’t go to another wasn’t mentioned as far as I remember… just something about the Madam having moved away to her homeland along with her whole parlor.

It does make me wonder how many Parlors are in Ironfall… maybe Tempo’s was merely the only one close enough to the castle that Gaster felt safer? He seems rather paranoid about potential attacks even in his own castle…

Gaster seems fine with how open Papyrus’s Concubines are. Maybe even amused by it. Slaves seem to have a Purpose. Like living tools.

Hi Anon. I want to clarify that this is my opinion. I don't always adhere to specific details of the novel since I'm doing a "what if" exercise regarding the questions that were asked, "what if this event had been different, etc."

Thinking about c!crimeboys sending eachother letters (ignore how idk how). Them getting to keep in touch and bond and recover but from a healthy distance. Wilbur asks how Tommy is holding up and how the others are doing. Tommy frequently asks him what Utah is like, and occasionally is sent back a polaroid that he keeps at his bedside.

But eventually, Wilbur picks up that Tommy isn't doing so well. Tommy isn't so much like Wil, who makes up some web of lies to convince Wilbur that everything's dandy. He's fairly honest about what's going on, but insists that he's got everything under control and to not worry about him, because he's a BIG MAN who can TAKE ON ANYTHING.

Until the final letter arrives. The letters are hastily scribbled, the page stained with tears. It cuts straight to the point in its first line:

"im sorry. im dying tomorrow."

He read through the rest of the letter two, three, four times. Tommy's entire detailed scheme to use Tubbo's nuke to finally end everything. It wasn't until the fifth read that it hit him.

"tomorrow." No, that can't be. By the time Wilbur gets these letters, its already been a few days, a few weeks sometimes.

He swore he'd never return. Should he even? If this is true, then he doesn't think he could bear to see it himself. He could very possibly make it worse anyway. No, no, Tommy could never do something like this, that isn't him, so there's nothing to worry about. He should just wait for the next letter and he'll know he's okay. But... He couldn't imagine sitting there for weeks and nothing ever arriving. He's not sure he could survive torment like that.

He wasn't conscious for most of the trip. He doesn't remember packing his things, or setting sail. Even as he arrived at the shore, none of it felt real. But when he ran up that hill, there was no denying it.
