#burnedout

Yesterday was a hard day. 

 Being an “essential employee “ during this, even while working bf it a company that is trying to take care of its people is stressful. I have never had a poker face, and my anxiety has been accelerating the burn out I was already feeling from my customer service job. So I got a talking to at work about keeping my customer service up to par because there have been a couple complaints. 

 So I finally asked for a mental health day, and they are giving it to me. I don’t work Monday this week and I am hoping it helps. And my supervisor and manager are gong to start helping me look for another position in the company that will be a better long term fit. It was a couple of hard conversations to have, but honestly I should have initiated awhile ago, and maybe even would have if the pandemic hadn’t fit. A hell of a time to burn out. 

 I am taking it easy this weekend. I stayed in bed late, then cleaned and cleansed the house. I’m waiting for my breakfast to cool enough to eat. My wonderful partner mowed the lawn and brought in flowers from our yard for me. I plan on reading a lot today, and maybe binging anime. Tomorrow there will be grocery shopping and maybe I’ll buy vegan ice cream. Monday I am hoping to do some art, to feed my soul on creativity, and I will call my company’s employee help line to see what counseling options are available to me that the company will pay for.
