( MEMORY MEME : REPRESSED )
BLOOD. THERE WAS SO MUCH blood soaked upon her frail body and white garments. how old was she now, laying here within the wilderness where her parents had dumped her weakened body? perhaps it was far too young to be laying there, her life perpetually risked daily by the abuse which her parents forced her to suffer through. and yet… it was an unfamiliar warmth which she felt behind her, cerulean eyes opening barely despite her desire to fade into a deep slumber. there was no voice to be used, instead easing into the embrace of her elder brother in silence. despite it all, it felt nice to feel wanted; to be hugged for the very first time in her childhood. ❝ ……….. ❞ only was it during that silence which she recalls him muttering something strange as he pulls her closer to his body.
❝ It’s alright. Everything is fine now. I’ll protect you. From this darkness, I’ll save you. ❞
features remain expressionless, dreary from the loss of her own blood which clings to her so. despite it all does he continue to hold her, something comforting as she listens. no, even though she continues to listen to him, she could not comprehend anything which he says nor what it is he desires to accomplish. instead she remains unmoving, enjoying the gentle breezes that pass them beneath the trees within his arms. once more does her gaze drift up, looking at the face which her brother shows. with such a saddened face he continues.
❝ The curse. I alone shall bear this crazy curse. That’s why there is nothing for you to worry about. That’s why there is nothing for you to feel troubled about. Since I will make use of the Sacrificial Demon and the Stupid Hero to sever this darkness. That’s why you should go outside. And walk under the light. I alone shall walk in the darkness. ❞
something of a curse, things which she could not understand despite his own knowings. even then she cannot bring herself to ponder too hard on something as this, focusing on how good it felt to be hugged. how easily it causes her to lull into a gentle slumber to rest at long last. like a dream, something so long ago she had nearly forgotten through all the trauma.
