Also I think it’s weird that black women are online validating for their attention particularly for jermajesty and jaafar. These men come from a wealthy family and went to some of the best private schools and travel all over. Offering your skin color isn’t enough unfortunately
Let’s talk about this actually! It’s not news that the Jackson family obviously has a preference for women that are on the lighter side and have constantly strayed away from black women. Now with the second generation we can chalk it up to the fact that they grew up around people who didn’t date within their own race and live in an area where it’s predominantly white.
With that being said, Genevieve has a black husband. So it makes me wonder if they all had the same upbringing around the same people in the same environment how come the only one that seems to be embracing their blackness is the women? I think that’s a whole other conversation about the insane internalized racism within black men but I decided to mention it here.
I do agree that the black fans that obsess over these men’s preferences and get upset over it definitely need to get a grip and recognize their own worth. This is another case of black men falling victim to racism and losing their racial identity in the process. The whole family has a lot to unpack when it comes to the whitewashing of their legacy, but in the meantime us black fans need to realize that what these men have going for them is something they won’t want to change and that’s on them! You are beautiful and you shouldn’t let any celebrity determine your worth.
