ok boring thing to be excited about but once again walked around for 3 hours as a test in these hiking boots and...no pain all? This is also a revelation about the amount of discomfort I'm used to ignoring. Anyway if you also have narrow feet + hallux valgus and the accompanying joint hypermobility in your ankes that makes them fold over at the slightest provocation try hanwag bunion hiking shoes. The ones i got are even high and sturdy enough to stop my ankes from folding.
They're expensive (300+) but i bought some 2nd hand for 50 as good as new and it's just such an improvement. Longer hikes especially are really rough on your feet if your shoes just never truly fit to start with. I've tried wide shoes before, but those are way too loose around the heel and middle of the foot and usually not wide enough near the front, so that didn't help. This is just so much better! I really didn't realise i was basically supressing awareness of pain all the time right from the start on every walk. I usually only start truly being bothered once i develop larger wounds on my feet, which would inevitably happen on every single hike.
