I have changed the plans a little regarding the project.

I have gathered some embroidery samples from Danish folke dragter, and found one that I'm planning to use.

And I have also decided to change the "shell" of the dress from a beltestakk to the "shell" of a Nordlands bunad, since it leans more natural than the beltestakk.

My boyfriend is half danish and half norwegian, my mother in law is fully norwegian.

She gave me the idea to make a festdrakt (looks like a bunad, but there are no rules!) with embroidery and materials that the danish folkdresses have.

So now I'm on a mission to collect as much material as possible and then design the dress + one for my boyfriend.

If it's a big succes, who knows.. I might start selling them!

My vision is to merge the norwegian and danish styles together. So the base will look like a beltestakk and the embroidery will be from old danish traditions.
