Spent most of yesterday out on a hike to one of our lesser-traveled lakes and decided to make a scramble from the backside of the lake up to some of the last remaining snow! I was so impressed with our little doggo - he was so eager to get everywhere and I think he had a blast. We’re all a bit itchy with mosquito/fly bites, but it was so worth it just to see him get to gallop around. Bonus: No ticks - the heat has finally burnt them off 🎉
Today has very much been a lazy Sunday. Finishing up part 1 of my new bujo’s swatch page - lord knows how many more pages I’ll eventually need just for swatches. All of my washi tape is so old, like, 6+ years old. I think it may be time for some more. Do you have any washi recommendations?
Abernathy has been keeping me company for most of the afternoon and is now absolutely passed out and enjoying the fan.
I’ve been annoyed while making my new bullet journal and finance journal… my measured lines are just… weird? I’ve been passing it off on my generally shaky hands only to discover that the damn thing is BENT af! 😡 On the upside, at least I know that I’m not just randomly terrible with a ruler. 🤦♀️

A new bujo and a financial journal are in the works! My old bujo had just about had it and was bursting at the seems so I opted for a larger paperback journal to give me room for actual journaling, as I saw fit, too! The new financial journal is shaping up too! I found that I had to amend my financial trackers so often in my bullet journal that a separate notebook seemed like a better fit for me.
Oh, how I’ve missed my rainbow of pens!
We’re painting the office in sections so I was finally able to move my desk. Now that the walls are nice and shiny with the new paint… I don’t want to put anything back up up on the walls because I’m randomly worried that, like, the paint will just chip off! Is that weird? Tell me I can decorate again lol
