Granted this place might actually be a little underrated but I have never had a beer from this place I ever remember drinking. And now (finally) they are opening ANOTHER location? What, they didnt get enough visibility being located in the back of a parking lot behind a pub that doesn't carry their beer? Shocker.

The Chicago Tribune takes note of Buffalo’s craft brewery scene and how it’s helping Buffalo improve its image. Taking note of the nearly 20 breweries that have opened up in Buffalo in just a couple years time they focus on how breweries help other local businesses flourish as well. One of the featured breweries, Community Beer Works, has just announced a $1M expansion.

Rochester tips their hat to Buffalo’s craft brewing scene commenting on how many new and substantial breweries are taking root in the Queen City. The Flour City focused mainly on four breweries - 12 Gates Brewery, Big Ditch Brewery, Community Beer Works and Resurgence Brewing while giving honorable mentions to Old First Ward Brewing and the highly anticipated up and coming Thin Man Brewery on Elmwood.

Buffalo. For Real TV has now made a 3rd segment on Buffalo’s booming microbrewery scene (See Part 1 and Part 2). In this episode Nelson Star visits the Flying Bison Brewery, Big Ditch Brewery, and Hamburg Brewing Company.

When people think Buffalo, they think snow, ice, cold weather, and losing sports teams. They don’t think “city with an amazing local food scene” or “city with a rich (and beer-filled) industrial past”. Which, I’ll be honest, is a little fine by me. Like the hipster that I am, I like to keep some things to myself. I like thinking some places are cool before you’ve even heard from them. And, let’s face it, I like giving my money to small companies instead of huge corporations/chains (while hoping that the Buffalo brands I know and love start becoming available across the country). But with how much this city has been exploding lately, I don’t think I can keep these secrets for much longer...
