The tiemo, the guest cabin, is about 5 metres long, with a wooden roof supported by 12 pillars forming 9 windows closed by glass and decorated wooden shutters. It is equipped with benches for the court, but originally it also contained two small thrones, no longer existing, and a gilded table for the sovereigns. In 1869 the first King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, donated the Bucintoro to the city of Turin, which in 1873 donated it to its Civic Museum. The Peota then left the premises of the Valentino Shed and later reached Palazzo Madama, where she remained until 2000, when she was transferred to the Nicola Restauri Laboratory in Aramengo d'Asti; in September 2011 she arrived at the Conservation and Restoration Centre La Venaria Reale, where she can still be admired today.
