Here a pretty traditional drawing of Molly from Bubble Guppies dressed as Megara ‘Meg’ from Hercules.
I never watched Hercules, actually, but I wanted to draw Molly as Megara. I think she looks gorgeous.

The Octonauts and the Bubble Guppies!
Summary: When the Bubble Guppies are separated by a strong underwater sea current, it’s up to the Octonauts to reunite them together.
Kwazii and Shellington have finished studying a coral reef and the creatures that live there. And Tunip, one of the main Vegimals, was giving some of the creatures some yummy fish biscuits.
“Fascinating!” Shellington exclaimed in fascination.
He then turned to Kwazii.
“Kwazii, this coral reef has a very nice environment for the creatures here!” he answered. “This is such a great ecosystem.”
“Aye, matey.” Kwazii replied. “These little fishies and lobsters have a great place to hide from predators.”
A little fish swam up to Kwazii, and giggled. “That’s true. And your friend over there is giving us some good treats.”
Tunip chirped cheerfully, finishing giving the creatures fish biscuits.
“Ahh, Tunip’s fish biscuits are great!” Kwazii said. “The best treat you’ll ever have.”
Shellington chuckled and nodded in agreement.
“Best if we head back to the Octopod.” Shellington said to Kwazii.
“You’re right.” Kwazii replied. He turned to Tunip. “Tunip! Come on.”
Tunip chirped and followed them as if trying to say, “Coming!”
As they were to head home, they heard some screaming.
“Help! Somebody help us!” a female voice screamed.
“Do you hear that?” asked Kwazii.
“Yes, but where’s it coming from?” Shellington asked back.
Tunip pointed at a current, chirping to say “Over there!”
Just then, they saw an underwater current with a girl and puppy being dragged away by the water! The girl had bright pink hair and brown eyes, light brown skin and her tail and bikini top were a pattern of blue and light blue, and she was also holding onto the puppy real tight.
“Hang on, boy!” yelled the girl holding the puppy. But she couldn’t hold on much longer. “Somebody, help! Get us out of here!” she screamed.
Kwazii, Shellington, and Tunip gasped, and Kwazii leaped into action to save them! He grabbed a rope from the Gup C.
“Shellington, Tunip. Tie this rope around my waist.” Kwazii told them, giving them the rope.
Tunip and Shellington tied the rope around Kwazii’s waist, and Tunip made sure it was extra secure.
“Careful, Kwazii.” Shellington told him. “That sea current looks really strong.”
“I will.” Kwazii nodded.
He jumped into the current, shouting very loudly, “Yeow!”
He was now in the current, still being held by the rope.
“Hang on, matey!” Kwazii yelled. “I’ll save you! Grab my hand!”
Kwazii got close and the girl quickly grabbed his hand, and she and the pup were pulled out of the current.
The girl then looked at Kwazii! Kwazii then backed away and yelled “Shiver me whiskers! You’re a mermaid!”
Tunip gasped, looking at both the girl and the puppy. He chirped, touching their tails.
“Jumping jellyfish!” Shellington yelped. “She is a mermaid. And she has a sea pup. And here I thought they were make believe.”
The girl looked at them confused, and the pup whimpered confused as well, sniffing Tunip.
“I’m not a mermaid, I’m a Bubble Guppy!” the girl responded. “By the way, my name’s Molly. But who are you?”
“I’m Kwazii!” he said “Pleased to meet you, Molly!”
“My name’s Shellington!” he said to Molly. “And this is Tunip.”
Tunip chirped and waved his hand, saying hello.
“You look extremely fascinating! I’ve never seen someone who’s half human and half fish!” Shellington looked at Molly and used his magnifying glass to get a closer look. Molly couldn’t help but giggle at Shellington.
Bubble Puppy licked Kwazii’s helmet making it as a thank you for saving him and Molly from the current.
Kwazii chuckled. “You’re a cute little pup now, aren’t ya, matey?”
“That’s Bubble Puppy.” said Molly, then realized something. She then got worried. “Wait! My friends!”
She started to call their names, but there was no answer.
Kwazii and Shellington were concerned.
“What’s wrong, matey?” asked Kwazii.
“My friends! That’s what’s wrong! I lost them!” Molly exclaimed to them. “We got separated!”
Bubble Puppy then looked down, upset, and he soon whimpered softly.
Tunip gasped and fainted.
“You know, we might be able to help you find your friends, Molly,” Shellington said to her.
“You can?” she asked.
Kwazii replied back to her. “Aye! We’re the Octonauts, and we help any creature no matter what happens.”
“Come back with us to the Octopod. You think you can swim there?” Shellington asked her.
Molly looked at him, and nodded.“Yeah. My tail’s not hurt, I think I can,”she said.
When she agreed, Kwazii and Shellington got in the Gup-C and Molly and Bubble Puppy swam behind them.
When they arrived, Captain Barnacles greeted them.
“Kwazii, Shellington, Tunip!” he said as they came back inside the Octopod.
“You made it in time.” Tweak said.
Captain Barnacles then noticed Molly and Bubble Puppy. “Ah, I see you’ve made some new friends.”
“Well where are me manners?!” chuckled Kwazii. “Octonauts, meet our new friends, Molly and Bubble Puppy!”
Molly waved at them, and Bubble Puppy barked happily.
“Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you, Molly,” Captain Barnacles said, extending his paw to shake Molly’s hand. “I’m Captain Barnacles of the Octonauts.”
Molly giggled. “Nice to meet you too.” She then wanted to get on the deck of their ship.
“Whoa there, matey! You can’t even stand here ‘cause of your tail!” yelled Kwazii.
“Oh, that’s not a problem at all.” she said calmly. “Isn’t it, Bubble Puppy?” she asked as she petted the pup.
Bubble Puppy barked in agreement. Dashi then noticed her necklace with a blue seashell on it.
“That’s a pretty necklace. But, what are you going to do with it?” asked Dashi as she saw Molly hold it in her hands, and Bubble Puppy had one special glowing seashell on his collar, and held it with his paws.
Molly looked at her with a smile. “These necklaces have a special power for us!” she said. She turned to Bubble Puppy. “Ready, Bubble Puppy?”
Bubble Puppy barked with confidence.
They held their hands and paws, and then they were glowing in a magical sphere of light, which transformed them into humans!
“Jumping jellyfish!” screamed Shellington. “Your tails. They’re gone!”
Molly and Bubble Puppy still smiled. Molly then spoke up. “These necklaces help us transform into humans whenever we need to. And we can also turn back into guppies as well.”
“That’s incredible!” shouted Tweak. “I might build something based on that, if you don’t mind.”
“Of course!” Molly cheered.
“But, Molly, you had something to tell us about your friends.” Kwazii reminded her.
“Oh, right.” Molly said with a sad frown. “We were going back to the water after taking a break on land. But a strong water current came by and we got stuck in it. We tried to get out, but one by one, we got separated. And now, my friends are out there, andI’m worried they might be hurt!”
“Don’t worry, Molly,” said Captain Barnacles, putting his paw on her shoulder. “In our duties as the Octonauts, we help any creature in need! We will find them.”
Molly then hugged him. “Thank you so much!”
Captain Barnacles then thought of something. “We may need some help on this new mission. This is something we’ve never done before!” he the said, “Kwazii, sound the Octo-Alert!”
“Aye aye captain!”he said. He then hit the Octo-Alert. It started beeping.
“Octonauts, to the Launch Bay!” Captain Barnacles shouted.
All the Octonauts were now in the launch bay.
“Octonauts, our new friends Molly and Bubble Puppy need our help to find their friends when they all got separated in a strong current. Our mission is to reunite them all together again!” said Captain Barnacles.
“Seems risky.” Peso said shyly and hesitantly .
“It is,” Professor Inkling replied back. “But perhaps we have clues to find out where that current has taken each of them.”
He then turned to Molly. “Do you have any pictures of your friends? We could use it to find them.”
Molly then realized something. “Yes! I have a picture of me and my friends. Here!” She gave Barnacles her phone with a picture of her and her friends.
The Octonauts looked at the guppies in each photo, identifying and analyzing their different colors.
“Those colors are really fascinating!” said Shellington. “Very bright and vibrant.”
“Aye! But how are we gonna find them if they got separated?” Kwazii asked.
“Don’t you have anything that can help us, Molly?” Peso asked, confused.
“Sadly I don’t,” Molly confessed with a sigh.
“Then we’ll find them. We’ll each go in the gups and work together to find clues that’ll lead us to the guppies. Octonauts, let’s do this!” shouted Captain Barnacles.
They all drove in the gups and went out to search for the other Bubble Guppies. As they kept swimming, Kwazii spotted something with his spyglass.
“Avast, mateys! I see something up ahead!” he exclaimed as they swam towards the object.
The object turned out to be a bracelet with orange beads, and it had an orange seashell in the middle. Molly picked up the bracelet and examined it.
She gasped. She knew that this belonged to one of her friends. “This belongs to Nonny! He’s the brains of our group and is really smart. But he’s really shy.”
“Then he can’t be that far,” said Captain Barnacles.
“But, where is he?” asked Peso. “I don’t see him anywhere.”
“Hold on a sec. I’ve got an idea.” Kwazii said, as he got out of the Gup, swam towards Molly, and whispered something to her ear.
Her face lit up with joy at the idea, thinking that it could probably work!
“That’s a fintastic idea, Kwazii!” she exclaimed. She went up to Bubble Puppy with Nonny’s bracelet. “Okay, boy, use your nose to find Nonny.”
Bubble Puppy smelled the bracelet, and then swam up to the shore.
“He must have picked up the scent on an island,” said Captain Barnacles. “Let’s follow him.”
They all followed Bubble Puppy to the island.
“Of course! Dogs have a super sense of smell with their noses. Sometimes they can even smell something that we can’t.” Shellington explained as they reached the island.
They have reached the island to find Nonny. Molly turned into a human, and to be safe, Peso joined her in case she gets hurt.
“Let’s search for Nonny here.” Captain Barnacles told them.
“Aye aye, Captain!” the others answered back at him.
They started to look for Nonny, but they couldn’t find him anywhere. Bubble Puppy then picked up the scent, and started barking.
“What is it, boy?” Molly asked the pup.
Captain Barnacles and Kwazii join them as well.
“Did he find something?” Peso asked.
Then, they heard someone let out a shriek.
“Did you hear that?” Kwazii asked.
Bubble Puppy ran and then he was followed by Molly and Peso. Then they saw a guppy with carrot orange hair, green eyes, freckles, blue glasses and a tail with light and dark green stripes. It was Nonny!
But there was a problem…
He was stuck on a rock, unable to transform into a human, he didn’t have his bracelet on, and worst of all, there was a crocodile, and he wanted to eat him.
“You look so delicious!” the crocodile snarled. “You’ll make a delicious snack!” He bites his jaw. “And I’m hungry.” He snarled with hunger.
“D-don’t get near me,” Nonny stuttered. “I promise you, I’m not tasty.”
Nonny got really scared. He tried to lift up his right arm, but winced at it in pain, but Peso quickly noticed that movement.
“Ow!” Nonny winced, holding his arm. “My arm…”
“Flappity flippers!” Peso exclaimed. “He’s hurt!”
Peso ran towards the crocodile and stood up in front of Nonny.
“Stay away from him!” he said angrily. “He’s not food for you to eat.”
The crocodile blinked… but he then let out a deep low growl.
“Oh? And what are you supposed to be?” he snarled. “You’re just a penguin. So, move out the way. That kid is my lunch!”
Peso stood firm on his ground, his flippers shaking as he felt fear, but he was gonna be strong for Nonny.
“I’m a medic,” he shot back, and continued, “and he’s hurt. So you need to stay away!”
The crocodile snapped his jaws loudly, and that made Nonny yelp.
“You think I’m scared of a little bird like you?” the crocodile hissed. “I’ve eaten bigger things than you!”
Kwazii leaped forward, landing in front of Peso, and let out a “Yeow!”
“Aye, matey, but we’ve fought much nastier than you!” Kwazii shouted at the crocodile. “Back off, you scallywag!”
Captain Barnaces ran to them and stood in the middle between them, his voice calm but serious.
“Easy now.” Captain Barnacles said in a deep voice. “Leave them alone.”
The crocodile’s stomach growled.
“Ohhh…” the crocodile moaned. “I’m so hungry. There’s nothing else to eat on this island.”
Peso took out some fish biscuits.
“How about these fish biscuits?” he insisted as he waved them around. “They’re way more delicious.”
Peso tossed the fish biscuits towards the crocodile and the crocodile ate them.
“Not too bad,” he said. “Very well, he’s yours. He may have been too fishy anyway.”
With one last snap, the crocodile turned and slithered back into the water.
Nonny’s eyes were extremely wide with fear, and his breath was very shaky.
Peso turned to Nonny. “Hello there. Are you alright?”
Nonny couldn’t look at Peso. He was too scared.
Molly whispered to Peso. “Nonny’s really shy. He gets scared quite easily.”
“How come?” Kwazii asked Molly.
“He has autism, so he’s more sensitive to stuff.” Molly replied to him.
“That makes a lot of sense.” Shellington said. He then explained, “Autism can make someone see things differently. Making them feel extra sensitive to things. They can even be extra good at noticing details others miss! But they can also feel things more strongly—like loud noises, sudden changes, or scary situations. So they might get overwhelmed more easily.”
“So that’s why he’s scared…” Peso whispered.
“Try to go slow on him, Peso.” Captain Barnacles said. “We don’t want to overwhelm him.”
“I will.” he replied and nodded to Captain Barnacles. “Times like these need the steady hands of a medic.”
Peso approached Nonny with caution and patience.
“Hello, Nonny.” Peso greeted again to him.
But Nonny didn’t reply. He still felt scared of the crocodile.
“Don’t worry, the crocodile’s gone. My name’s Peso, and I’m a medic.” Peso told him. “I help any creature who is hurt or sick, no matter what.” He then paused. He then told Nonny a little something about himself. “You wanna know something? I’m quite shy myself.” He let out a little chuckle.
Nonny looked at him. And then he looked at his arm, and some tears came down his eyes.
Peso cleaned them and spoke up. “It’s okay, Nonny. I’m not going to hurt you.” he said. “I just wanna look at your arm. Molly and Bubble Puppy have been looking for you.”
Nonny then turned to see Molly and Bubble Puppy. Molly ran up to him and hugged him tight.
“Nonny! We were so worried about you!” Molly exclaimed. “Are you okay?”
Nonny looked at her, and then she looked at his arm.
“Yikes! That’s one bad bruise.” she exclaimed with concern and worry.
“Aye! That must have hurt!” Kwazii joined as he pointed at the bruise Nonny had.
Nonny felt anxious. “I-it hurts a lot!” he stuttered with fear. More tears came down his eyes. He accidentally touched it and winced. “Ow…”
“Easy now.” Peso said. He looked at Nonny’s arm. “This looks really bad.” He said with worry as he slowly lifted his arm. The bruise was very severe. “Do you mind telling me how it happened?”
Nonny took a deep breath and spoke up on his arm. “When we got separated in that current, I went tumbling backwards onto this island, hitting my arm hard on the rock. I was unable to turn into a human because I lost my bracelet. I tried to get the bracelet back, but the current pulled me farther away, right here.” He sniffled. “I’m just scared.”
Kwazii held Nonny’s other hand. “We got you, matey.”
“We’re here now.” Molly said, standing next to him. She sits next to him. “What matters is that you’re safe now.”
Nonny nodded slyly, but he felt so much pain in his arm.
Peso examined his arm, and said, “You need a bandage.” He took a wrap of bandage from his medical bag. He wrapped the bandage around Nonny’s arm.
“Good as new!” said Peso with a smile. ”How does it feel?”
Nonny moved it a little, he was able to put a little smile, “It feels better. Thank you, Peso.” he said.
“You’re welcome.” Peso replied.
“And we found your bracelet!” Molly said, and gave it to him.
“Thank you.” said Nonny.
Nonny put the bracelet on and he turned human. As a human, he wore a hoodie which had light green and dark green stripes, just like his tail. He wears brown pants and some orange shoes with yellow soles.
“Phew, that’s a little better. But, we’re going back in the water anyway,”he said.
“What’s more important is that you’re safe!” declared Captain Barnacles.”I’m Captain Barnacles of the Octonauts.”
“And I’m Kwazii!” Kwazii said cheerfully, “Now that we found one of your friends Molly, how many more do we need to find?”
“Hmm…”, Captain Barnacles thought as he examined the picture.”It seems like there are 7 of you, and we already have you, Bubble Puppy and Nonny, so that means that we have to find your 5 friends now.”
“Yes! We have to find Deema, Oona, Goby, Zooli and Gilly!”she exclaimed.
“Who’s Gilly?” asked Peso. “Is he another one of your friends?”
“Oh that’s just a nickname she gives to Gil.”explained Nonny as he pointed to the boy on the right being Gil with his blue spiky hair and blue eyes, and green camo tail.
“Oh, that makes sense.”said Kwazii understandably.
“Well we better start looking for more clues!” declared Captain Barnacles.
They were heading back underwater, until they heard a familiar voice…
“Wait! You may need our help.” said a young voice.
“Who said that?” Kwazii mumbled, looking around.
Shellington recognized that voice to be.
“I know that voice.” Shellington whispered, trying to piece it together.
That’s when he was illuminated, turning around. He saw his nephew, Periwinkle the sea otter.
“Periwinkle!” he exclaimed cheerfully.
“Uncle Shellington!” cheered Periwinkle excitedly, hugging his uncle.
“Peri!” Shellington said, hugging his nephew, picking him up. “Oh, I’m so happy to see you!”
“Peri.” Captain Barnacles said. “Nice to see you.”
Periwinkle then saw Molly and Nonny.
“Uncle, who are they?” Periwinkle asked Shellington.
“Peri, these are our new friends.” Shellington explained to him.
“Hello!” Periwinkle waved to them.
“Molly, Nonny, this is my nephew, Periwinkle.” Shellington introduced Molly and Nonny to Periwinkle.
“Nice to meet you.” Molly said.
“Hello.” Nonny replied.
Bubble Puppy barked and sniffed Periwinkle.
“Hehehe!” he giggled. “Cute puppy.”
“That’s Bubble Puppy.” Molly told him.
Shellington then realized something. “Wait a minute, if you’re here, then that means…”
He hears his sister giggle. “Hello, Shellington!”
It was Pearl, Shellington’s sister and Periwinkle’s mum.
“Pearl!” shouted Shellington. He ran up to his older sister and the sea otter family hugged.
“Are they Octonauts as well, Captain?” Molly asked Captain Barnacles, clasping her hands together.
Captain Barnacles chuckled. “No, but they are Octo-Agents. Well, they have a special Octowatch so they can call whenever there’s a problem anywhere else.” he explained.
“And I sometimes take any of us to help on the mission in the Octo-Ray,” said Dashi.
They were surprised. But they continued looking for their friends. Pearl actually gave them some useful information.
“I saw this hair piece floating in the water. It was shaped like a seashell, and it was blue. Does this belong to someone?” Pearl asked, as she held onto a blue seashell hair clip.
Molly and Nonny gasped. They knew who that seashell hairclip belonged to.
“That’s Zooli’s hair clip!” Molly exclaimed. “It could be that she’s nearby.”
“Come on then, let’s look for her!” declared Captain Barnacles. “What do you two know about her?” he asked Molly and Nonny.
“She loves animals, especially those that live in the ocean.” Nonny explained.
“And her favorite ocean animal is a seahorse!”said Molly. “She has one as a pet, along with a frog. The seahorse is named Zelda, and the frog’s name is Izzy.”
“She’s smart and spunky.” Nonny added as well.
“Then I say we start looking for your mate!” Kwazii said.
So they searched the island, but they couldn’t find Zooli. Then they used Bubble Puppy’s nose to find her. Bubble Puppy sniffed Zooli’s hairpiece and then got the smell, leading them back into the water.
“Flappity flippers!” Peso exclaimed. “That’s one fast puppy!”
“He must have picked up Zooli’s scent.” Captain Barnacles said.
“Well, what are we waiting for?” Molly pointed. “Let’s follow him.”
Molly grabbed Nonny’s arm(the one that doesn’t have the bandage) and they got into the water to find Zooli. The Octonauts soon followed along with them. They saw Bubble Puppy swim to another island far away, the Galapagos Island.
Molly and Nonny peaked their heads out of the water and saw the island, but they couldn’t see Zooli.
“Zooli.” Nonny called out. “Where are you?”
“I don’t understand, why did Bubble Puppy bring us here?” Molly asked with confusion. “I don’t see Zooli.
“She may be on the island, but we’ll have to search carefully. Octonauts, let’s split up and search for Zooli!” Captain Barnacles suggested.
They started searching for any sign of Zooli, or her pets. Then Tweak yelled “I found something!” as she picked up a shoulder wrist with a light purple seashell in the middle.
Nonny examined it and then said with surprise, “This is Zooli’s shoulder wrist. That’s what she uses to turn into a human.”
“Then she has to be close by. Keep searching for clues Octonauts and Guppies!” said Captain Barnacles.
They kept looking for clues. Suddenly, Molly and Nonny slipped on something, making them both yelp. Molly landed on her face, and Nonny on his back.
The Octonauts ran up to them.
“Flappity flippers. Are you alright?” Peso asked them.
“Ow, that's gonna leave a mark!”exclaimed Molly, then she felt something on her tongue and spat it out. “Bleh.”
Nonny rubbed his back and then picked up the white goo, and then gave it to Shellington and asked him, “What is this stuff?”
Shellington examined it and then said “It’s salt! And whenever there’s salt… there’s marine iguanas!”
Shellington followed the trail and saw Zooli with their marine iguana friends; Iggy, Ted, and Sneezy.
Zooli then looked at Shellington “Hi there!” She greeted him. She then got up and took her hand out to shake his paw.
Shellington shook her hand. “Hello there! I’m Shellington.” he said. “You must be Zooli!”
Zooli smiled. “Indeed I am!”
Shellington then noticed the marine iguanas. “Iggy,Ted, Sneezy! It’s great to see you!” he exclaimed. He turned and yelled that he found Zooli. “Everyone, I found Zooli!”
Molly ran and hugged her. “I’m so glad you’re okay, Zooli!” she exclaimed.
“Me too, we were worried.” Nonny said softly.
Bubble Puppy licked her cheek, and she giggled.
“Well, I’m glad that you guys found me. But you should thank the marine iguanas. They kept me company.” Zooli replied.
“Y-yeah! Yeah… Achoo!” sneezed Sneezy, and he sneezed salt right in Molly and Nonny’s faces.
“Eww,”Molly said with disgust. She then handed Zooli her shoulder wrist. “Oh. Here, Tweak found it.”
“Thanks! I actually turned human before taking it off when I got here,” Zooli explained. She told everyone that when she got to the Galapagos Island, she turned into a human, and then had an idea for someone to find her by leaving her shoulder wrist loose as a clue so they could find her. “The iguanas and Redrock crabs here kept me in company while I waited for you guys. I knew you’d find me!”
Barnacles checked Zooli off and then spoke. “But we still have to find 4 more of your friends. But we’ll need to get some rest in the Octopod and search for them again,”he suggested.
“And I’ll give you a quick checkup. Well, maybe not so much for Nonny,” Peso giggled.
Zooli looked confused. “Why not Nonny?” she asked with concern.
Peso quickly filled her in. “I already checked Nonny, and patched his arm up.”
Zooli froze at the word “patched up”. “Wait, wait, wait! What do you mean ‘patched him up’?” Zooli asked with more confusion and her head spinning.
They looked at her, and Nonny took a deep breath and rolled up his sleeve, revealing the bandage around his arm.
“Oh my gosh!” Zooli gasped, “What happened?!”
“I hit my arm hard on a rock,” Nonny chuckled, embarrassed and shyly pulling his sleeve back down.
“That must have hurt so much! “Zooli winced.
“It did.” Nonny said shyly. “But Peso bandaged it up.”
Peso then said “Just make sure not to move it too much, Nonny.”
“Oh, don’t worry, I’ll be careful.” said Nonny with one arm on his injured arm.
“Well, we still have to find the others!” Kwazii shouted. “I mean, we still have to find the other 4.”
Captain Barnacles stepped in. “Kwazii’s right. Let’s go back to the Octopod so you 3 can get some quick checkups, and also have some water.”, he said.
Suddenly, his Octowatch rang. It was another Octo-Agent. It turned out to be Paani, the hydrologist who likes to go with the flow.
“Octonauts. Paani here. I am here in the Amazon River in South America,” he said. He then took out an orange hoop earring from his pack. “When I found this floating in the river. Do any of you know whose earring is this?”
Molly, Nonny and Zooli’s eyes then widened in shock.
“Oh, we know who has an orange earring just like that one.” Molly said. “Deema’s!”
“Who’s she?” asked Dashi.
“She’s one of our friends, and a total drama queen,” explained Zooli. “She’s fun, silly, stylish, and loves fashion.”
Captain Barnacles then declared “Alright Octonauts, change of plans. We’re going to the Amazon River, since we now have a clue to where Deema is!”
They got into the gups, as for the guppies, they jumped into the water and changed into their Guppy forms.
On their way to the Octopod for a quick checkup, Zooli turned to Nonny and Molly. “So, where do you think the others could be? I mean, we have a clue that Deema’s in the Amazon, but nothing about the others.”
“I’m sure we’ll find them.” Nonny replied.
At the Octopod, Peso gave the guppies a quick checkup, but mostly examined Nonny’s arm.
“How does your arm feel, Nonny?” Peso asked.
Nonny tried to move it slowly. “A bit better, but still feels like it hurts somewhere.”
Peso nodded softly, then slowly lifted Nonny’s arm. “Okay. I’m gonna touch your arm, and you tell me where you feel a bit of pain to see how we’re progressing.” he replied.
Nonny nodded and let Peso touch his arm.
“Does it hurt?” Peso asked, as he touched certain parts.
“Ow, that hurt.” Nonny winced, his eyes blinking a few times.
“Sorry.” Peso responded, lifting it slowly. “Looks like it still needs some healing in this section.”
“Is he gonna be okay?” Zooli asked as Tunip gave her a fish biscuit then bit into it.
Peso turned to her, and listened to her heartbeat with his stethoscope. “He’s gonna be okay, Z. His arm just needs rest and not to move it much.”
Meanwhile at the H.Q.
Captain Barnacles stood firm with his paws on his hips, looking at the screens on the H.Q., checking the map to the Amazon.
“Dashi, activate the steering wheel!” Captain Barnacles ordered.
“Aye aye captain!” Dashi said activating the steering wheel.
20 minutes later, they were in the Amazon.
“Octonauts, we’ve arrived in South America, in the Amazon,” Captain Barnacles declared. “Let’s head out and search for Deema!”
They set out to find Deema, but something then hit Zooli.
“Wait a minute,” Zooli stopped, “shouldn’t we find Paani first since he has Deema’s earring?”
“She’s got a point there, mateys.” Kwazii said. “He does have Deema’s earring.”
“But he could be anywhere in the Amazon.” Tweak said. “How are we gonna find him?”
Just then, someone fell right on top of Kwazii.
“Yeow!” Kwazii yelped.
“Kwazii! Are you alright?” Captain Barnacles asked him.
“I’m okay.” Kwazii answered back.
“Oops, sorry, Kwazii. ” said the voice. It turned out to be Paani.
“Well, shiver me whiskers,” Kwazii exclaimed. “Paani, it’s you!”
Paani got up. “Yes, it is me,” he said, cleaning himself up. He looked at Molly, Nonny, Zooli, and Bubble Puppy. “Hello. I’m Paani.”
“I’m Molly.” Molly replied. She pointed at Nonny and Zooli. “That’s Nonny, and that’s Zooli.”
“Hi there!” Zooli said.
“Hello.” Nonny shyly answered back.
“Splashing to meet you all.” Paani said back.
He then took something out of his bag. It was Deema’s earring. “I believe you need this.”
Bubble Puppy then sniffed at the earring.
Paani felt that the pup was tickling his hand. “Well isn’t this guy a cute one?” he chuckled, petting Bubble Puppy.
Bubble Puppy barked at Paani, and licked his cheek. Paani chuckled at that.
“Bubble Puppy’s trying to pick up Deema’s scent, so we can try to figure out where she went,” replied Shellington.
Bubble Puppy then barked. He picked up her scent and took the earring and ran after to figure out where the scent came from.
“And there he goes again!” Tweak shouted. “He’s a fast one.”
“Follow that pup!” Captain Barnacles responded as he pointed to Bubble Puppy.
They ran after Bubble Puppy, and soon stopped in a swamp.
“Why did we stop in the swamp?” Peso asked. He then gulped, feeling a little frightened as it was pretty spooky there. “It’s a bit spooky here.”
Captain Barnacles investigated. “Maybe Deema’s here and her earring came loose. She could be here.”
Suddenly, they heard a voice.
“Hello? Anyone there?” the female voice asked.
Kwazii took out his spyglass to see a girl in the middle of the swamp waving. The girl had golden curls, like a bunch of golden cinnamon rolls, beautiful sapphire blue eyes, freckles on her cheeks, and her outfit actually matched her tail pattern. An orange top with yellow polka dots. Some golden bangles on one arm, pink and red bracelets on the other. She was wearing a darker shade of orange with a yellow button in the buckle. She also had a ring. It was Deema!
She was waving her hands rapidly, trying to get their attention.
“Avast, me hearties!” Kwazii yelled. He pointed to Deema on the log. “There she is!”
“Watch out for the capybaras!” Deema yelled.
“Capybaras?” Molly asked with no understanding.
Capybaras started to roam the area.
“Stay back!” one snarled. “Stay back!”
Nonny backed away, grabbing Shellington’s arm.
“S-Shellington…” Nonny muttered frighteningly. “They don’t seem happy.”
“It’s okay, Nonny.” Shellington said.
“I’ve heard that capybaras are protective of their territory.” Zooli pointed out.
“Oh dear.” Paani said.
“How are we gonna get to her?” Peso asked
“I think I can get to her on my paddleboard!” Paani said with the idea illuminated in his head.
Paani threw his paddleboard in the swamp and went to Deema on his paddleboard, trying to not get attacked by the capybaras.
He got close enough and shouted, extending his hand to Deema. “Grab on! I’m a friend of the Octonauts, and I’m here to help.”
Deema hesitated, but she took Paani’s hand, and jumped on the paddleboard.
They returned to the land and Deema ran to her friends and hugged them.
“You guys!” Deema exclaimed with tears of joy. “I’m so glad that you’re safe!”
“We should be the ones glad that you’re safe, Deema,” Molly replied, putting a hand on Deema’s shoulder.
And Nonny gave Deema back her earring. “Here.”
“Thanks,” Deema appreciated as she took the earring and put it on her ear. “I can’t believe I lost it.”
Kwazii then asked “Wait, we had clues to find you all, but do we have anything to find the other 3?”
“Well, Oona loves anything from Japan. That is her culture, since she’s Asian.” Zooli replied.
“Then she must be in Japan!” Shellington exclaimed.
They all went to Japan to look for Oona. They got off in a forest and started to search for her.
“Oona! Oona!” Deema shouted. “Where are you?”
Kwazii sighed. “It’s no use, mateys. There’s no clues nor a sign of her anywhere!”
Just then, a cherry blossom fell on Kwazii’s nose.
“Hey, what’s this on me nose?!” Kwazii puffed the flower away.
“A cherry blossom.” Nonny said. “A well known flower in Japan.”
Then they heard some giggling from a tree. Then they saw a purple ponytail, and it was tied with a pink hair tie.
“Hehe,” the girl giggled. She then came down from the tree. “Guys! It is so good to see you all here!”
It was Oona! She was wearing a purple hoodie with the strings being pink stars, and she had a pink skirt, leggings that were her tail color, purple with pink wavy stripes, lavender legwarmers with stars and purple shoes with the bottom being pink. Her hair was styled in two low pigtails with pink hair ties and a pink star in her hair.
“Oona!” Deema squealed. “You’re okay!”
Oona took a twig out of her hair. “Of course I am,” she replied. “But I am so glad you guys are okay as well! And I didn’t feel lonely. I actually made a new friend.”
Then, a wild cat came from the tree Oona was in. Everyone backed away, except Oona.
“I suggest that we all back away from that cat,” Captain Barnacles suggested.
“It’s okay,” Oona admitted, petting the cat. “This is my friend, Rin, and she’s a leopard cat.”
“Indeed I am. This little girl has been keeping me company,” Rin purred while rubbing against Oona. “I try to befriend small animals, but everyone judges me because I’m a feline. Until this girl came and became my friend, she understood me.”
Oona giggled as Rin rubbed against her. “Rin, that tickles!”
“Oh, so she is a friendly cat,”replied Peso. He got closer and petted her. “Nice to meet you, Rin.”
“And perfectly healthy.” Oona added. She then continued to her friends,”But I’m glad to see that you’re safe guys.” And she hugged them.
“Well that’s nice,” Kwazii said. He turned to the captain. “Captain, we still have two more of their friends to find.”
“You’re right,”Captain Barnacles said. He turned to Molly. “Molly, where do you think your last two friends are?”
Molly thought for a moment. “I’m not really sure. I honestly don’t know.”
“Maybe Goby’s somewhere underwater. Maybe both Gil and Goby are underwater.” Zooli thought. “That current was strong. It may have led them to a cave.”
“Shiver me whiskers!” Kwazii exclaimed. “They could be in serious trouble then!”
Peso added “And they might get hurt. We’ve got to find them.”
“And we will,” Captain Barnacles said before pointing to the gups. “Octonauts, to the Gups!”
They all hopped onto the Gups and followed the current, to see if they got any clues to find Goby and Gil. They asked a few of the ocean animals if they’ve seen them, but nothing. After a while, they stopped in a reef and sat down.
“We’ve already asked 2 dolphins, 3 sharks, a few sea urchins, and a few sea stars, and we got no answers!” Kwazii said, resting on coral. “It’s like a treasure hunt without the ‘x’.”
“Now what do we do?” Deema asked. “It’s as if we’ve reached a dead end over and over.”
Just then…
“Guys?” a voice said. They all turned and saw Goby! He was okay, and he was on a whale’s back.
“Goby, you’re okay!” Deema said with joy, as she went and hugged him.
Everyone was shocked, and Goby did have a bruise.
“Hey, you got a bruise,” Peso pointed at Goby’s arm.
Goby swam towards Peso, and Peso added a bit of ointment to heal the bruise.
“Thanks.” Goby said.
The other guppies hugged him.
“You had us worried sick!” Oona said. “And we were gonna look for you farther.”
“Well I’m here now,” he said.
“What happened to you?” Zooli asked.
“Well, after the current separated us, I got lost in a coral reef. Gil and I were still together, but the current was too strong, and it pulled him away.” he said and paused. He then said, “But he said something about a cave before the current pulled him away.”
“A cave?” Dashi said. “But there are so many caves in the ocean in different areas.”
Molly whispered softly for them to hear, “He’s still out there.”
Oona hugged Molly and replied “Don’t worry, Molly. We’re gonna find him.”
“Captain, Gil could be trapped in one of the sea caves.” Kwazii said urgently.
“You might be right, Kwazii,” Captain Barnacles said. He turned to his team and the guppies. “Alright, everyone. This is our last guppy to find. Gil is still somewhere out there, and he could be hurt or trapped.”
Shellington pointed something about sea caves. “Sea caves like these sometimes have crevices. Some could even have lava pools.”
“Lava?” Deema asked. “How can lava be inside a cave? We’re in the ocean, not an island with an active volcano.”
“Well— not always lava like you see in volcanoes. Some sea caves are formed by underwater volcanoes or geothermal activity. In those places, you can find very hot pools, vents that release warm water, and even slowly cooling rock flows. They can look like glowing lava, and they’re very dangerous.” Shellington explained.
“Aye- dangerous and steamy.” Kwazii added.
“We’re close to a cave right now,” Dashi said. She showed them on her tablet.
Captain Barnacles put his paws together. “Gil must be trapped in that cave then. We’d better hurry.”
They hurried into a cave to go and search for Gil. They called out for his name to see if he’d respond, but there was no answer.
“Gil!” Molly called out louder. “Where are you?”
Suddenly, they heard a muffled call for help.
“What was that?” Peso asked with a little worry.
“H-help.” the voice called out again, a bit louder. “Is anyone there?”
Molly gasped. “That was Gil!”
Her heart leapt. “Gil!” she called out again. “We’re here!”
Gil’s muffled voice answered back, this time, a little more clearer. “I’m stuck- and I can’t get out!”
“Don’t worry, Gil. We’re here to get you out.” Captain Barnacles told him. He turned to Dashi. “Dashi, can you pinpoint his location?”
Dashi nodded and she started to tap rapidly on her tablet to get Gil’s location in the cave. After a moment, she said “I’ve got him!” She paused and muttered “Uh oh.”
“What is it, Dashi?” Captain Barnacles asked her.
“Captain,” she started, looking concerned at what it showed her on her tablet, but continued saying, “Gil’s trapped in a cave, which indeed has lava. But he’s so deep inside, the water temperature is rising rapidly. The thermal vents might explode any time soon.”
Molly gasped. “Explode?!”
“Oh no!” Oona exclaimed. “We have to hurry!”
Molly’s heart raced quickly. “We’ve got to get him out, now!
Captain Barnacles nodded firmly. “And we will.” He turned to the team. “Octonauts, this is a high-risk rescue. Gil is trapped deep inside a volcanic sea cave, and the temperature is rising extremely fast. We have to move quickly, and fast!”
“Aye aye, Captain!” The team responded to him with unison.
Captain Barnacles turned to Molly with a calm but assuring expression. “Molly, we’re gonna bring him back.” He turned to Kwazii. “Kwazii, you’re with me. Peso- you stay close. We’ll need medical help immediately. Dashi, Shellington, guide us to Gil’s location.”
“Got it, Captain.” Dashi replied. She locked her eyes on the tablet. “You’ve got to follow the tunnel that’s ahead, then, take a sharp left. That should lead you closer to Gil.”
“Thanks, Dashi.” Captain Barnacles responded.
The cave rumbled softly as the Octonauts swam through. Shellington and Tweak stayed behind with the Bubble Guppies to keep them safe.
“Will they be able to make it?” Zooli whispered.
“I hope so…” Molly whispered.
Tweak out her paw around Molly’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry,” she reassured Molly. “They’ll get him out. I just know it.”
The Vegimals comforted them.
Tunip chirped and patted Molly on the shoulder.
The cave soon trembled again. A deep rumble echoed through the narrow tunnels, and small rocks began to fall from above.
Inside the cave, Barnacles led the way as Kwazii followed him.
“Stay sharp,” his voice steady. “We’re getting close.”
“Aye, Captain!” he responded, swimming beside him.
That’s when another faint cry echoed.
“H-help…!”
“Flappity flippers! That’s him!” Peso said, his voice filled with urgency. “And he sounds weaker.”
“Aye.” Kwazii replied, sounding serious.
Captain Barnacles followed the sound of Gil’s voice deeper into the cave. The water around them got warmer by the second, and glowing cracks lit up the rocky walls with an orange-red glow.
That’s when they heard faint coughs.
They grew louder. COUGH… cough…
“That’s him!” Kwazii shouted, pointing ahead. “Over there! I see him!”
Far ahead, trapped behind fallen rocks and glowing steam vents, was Gil. He looked very weak and small. He looked exhausted.
His bright blue hair was damp and messy, his breathing was shaky, and his tail was curled tightly around himself. He coughed more and tried to breathe.
“Gil!” Captain Barnacles called out.
Gil turned out and his eyes widened in disbelief.
“Captain Barnacles?” he asked weakly.
“Stay where you are!” Captain Barnacles told him.
Gil gave a shaky nod, but another cough escaped from him. He turned to Kwazii.
“He’s trapped way deep in those rocks!” Peso raised with concern. “How are we going to get him out?”
Captain Barnacles looked around quickly, examining the area while steam hissed around them.
The glowing cracks on the rocks were getting brighter.
“We don’t have much time,” he answered firmly. “Kwazii, help me clear those rocks. Peso, stay ready for medical attention.”
“Aye-aye, Captain.” they both answered back.
Kwazii grabbed onto one of the fallen rocks and strained with all his strength.
“Urghh… these rocks are heavier than they look!” he grunted.
Captain Barnacles pushed beside him. “Together, Kwazii!”
And with a powerful shove, the two are able to make one of the rocks roll out of the way.
Gil coughed again as steam hissed around.
“Hurry…” he stuttered weakly.
Peso’s eyes widened. “Flappity flippers. Captain, the heat’s getting worse!”
The cave suddenly rumbled. The cracks spread along the walls, glowing brighter orange.
“Shiver me whiskers…” Kwazii muttered. “This place is about to blow!”
“Keep moving!” Captain Barnacles ordered them.
The cave shook violently again. Chunks of rock broke away from the ceiling and splashed.
“Yeow!” Kwazii exclaimed. But he replied to the Captain. “Aye, aye, Captain!”
The two pushed another large boulder aside while Peso was able to squeeze through a small opening.
“Captain, I can reach him!” Peso shouted.
Gil coughed again.
The young guppy’s blue eyes were watering from the hot steam.
“H-hurry…” he whispered quietly.
Peso finally reached him.
“There you are.” Peso smiled gently. “We’re getting you out of this cave.”
Gil looked relieved.
Another rumble echoed through the cave.
CRACK!
A glowing fissure spread across the wall.
Captain Barnacles’ eyes widened.
“Everyone out! Now!”
Kwazii grabbed Gil’s left arm carefully.
“I’ve got him, matey!”
Gil tried to swim, but he was exhausted.
“I’m so… tired…” he muttered, feeling weaker.
Peso immediately noticed.
“Captain, he’s suffering from heat exhaustion!”
Captain Barnacles nodded.
“Then we move faster.”
Together, Captain Barnacles and Kwazii supported Gil while Peso stayed close beside him.
Steam burst from a nearby vent.
WHOOSH!
“Aah!” Gil yelled.
“It’s alright!” Kwazii assured him. “Just keep swimming.”
Back near the entrance, the other Octonauts and
guppies waited anxiously.
Molly paced around nervously.
“Ohh, why is it taking so long?” Molly whispered.
Then, Dashi’s tablet beeped.
“I’ve got movement!”
Everyone quickly rushed over.
“What does it say?” Zooli asked.
Dashi smiled.
“They’re coming back!”
The guppies’ faces lit up.
“They found him!” Goby cheered.
Moments later, Captain Barnacles emerged from the tunnel. Behind him came Kwazii and Peso, and finally…
Gil.
“Gil!” Molly screamed.
She rushed toward him.
Gil barely had time to react before Molly wrapped him into a tight hug.
“Whoa!” Gil laughed weakly.
Bubble Puppy barked excitedly and jumped into the hug too.
“We were worried about you!” Deema exclaimed.
“We thought we’d never see you again!” Oona added.
Gil smiled.
“I missed you guys, too.”
But he swayed slightly.
Peso immediately noticed and stepped forward.
“Easy there.”
Gil blinked.
“I’m just a little dizzy…”
Peso gently took his arm and sat him down.
He listened to Gil’s heartbeat with his stethoscope.
Everyone waited anxiously.
Finally, Peso smiled.
“He’s dehydrated and exhausted from the heat, but he’ll be alright.”
Everyone sighed with relief.
Back at the Octopod, in the Launchbay, the guppies sat on the edge of the water, their tails swaying back and forth slowly and gently.
Tunip and the other Vegimals handed the guppies glasses of water and fish biscuits.
“Thank you, Tunip.” Oona said politely, taking one fish biscuit and a glass of water.
Molly looked around the room.
Gil.
Goby.
Deema.
Oona.
Nonny.
Zooli.
Bubble Puppy.
Everyone was safe.
She smiled again.
“We’re all back together again.”
She turned to the Octonauts.
“Thank you, for bringing us back together.”
Bubble Puppy barked happily, his tail wagging.
“Anytime, matey.” Kwazii responded, sitting next to her side.
Dashi prepared her camera for a picture.
“This deserves a photo. Get together, everyone.”
“Finally!” Deema exclaimed dramatically, flipping
her curls. “I was thinking that we’d never get a reunion picture!”
“Deema, we got reunited like ten minutes ago,” Goby pointed out.
“Exactly!” Deema replied. “A tragedy!”
Everyone laughed.
The Octonauts gathered around the Launchbay Pool around the guppies. They activated their helmets and dove into the water and the guppies followed as well. The Vegimals jumped in as well.
“Everybody ready?” Dashi asked.
Everyone said yes and were ready for the picture.
“Right. Say: Seaweed!”
All together, the Octonauts and the Bubble Guppies said, “Seaweed!”
When they all said “Seaweed”, Dashi snapped the picture with her camera.
The picture came out nice, or should I say…
