KENDRA: Let my girl be relevant. Let my girl matter. Give us an excuse to have flashbacks to her Watcher weeping over her death. Give us an excuse to see Buffy grieve her friend. Give us an excuse to have Faith think about Kendra AT ALL. Have the First appear to Faith in her prison cell and taunt her with the face of the girl she replaced, the girl who's example she could never live up to.

NIKKI WOOD: Gives an excuse to have more and better time with Robin as a character, and deepen our exploration of what a slayer is by studying Nikki's life. Her Watcher protected her during her pregnancy, which we could tie into S7's themes about isolation vs teamwork. Plus this could force more direct confrontations with Spike's past and his many, many crimes.

FAITH: This would unfortunately involve killing Faith, which I myself have conflicted feelings about, but we might be able to give her a drown-but-get-CPRed technical death that lets the First steal her face without eliminating the real Faith from the story (have our cake and eat it too). Ultimately, I think returning Buffy to being The Chosen One might be an interesting angle through which she realizes that the key is to share the power.

SINEYA: Yet another example of Let My Girl Matter More. Also, it feels like something the First would find amusing: stealing the face of the other being who is titled the First Something. The First Slayer, First of the Ones, the person who killed the last of The Old Ones and made room for humanity on Earth. Plus, in my version, the fact that Sineya is silenced over and over and OVER again is actually explored in the text, and we get an excuse to explore more of Sineya's life as a contrast to Buffy's.

So the answer, according to the twitter poster, is they got this photo from a magazine and the caption identified Nicholas Brendon (Xander) on the left and his twin Kelly Donovan on the right.

Many people on twitter however, including myself, apparently wrongly guessed the opposite, that Xander/Nicholas was on the right in the light green shirt. I'm like 99.99% sure though, so I think maybe the magazine caption got it wrong.

EDIT: It would seem the twitter poster/magazine did indeed get it wrong. Photos were found of the one on the left in the darker green shirt with white sleeve shirt underneath, which are captioned as being Kelly Donovan. See post here with more proof.
