a/n: been having this idea for bos ever since i started the first game, but i felt like i waited too long to actually write it
bos is always trying to live up to his family name, be the best in whatever he does and make his father proud! and usually, he IS the best at whatever he does. usually…
however, you are the only person who can even compete with bos! if anyone beats him at anything it's you – and bos can't stand that!
at first, he's a total asshole to you! especially if you end up befriending ryza & co, that'll just give him an extra reason to dislike you!
but you fascinate him too. he might not be able to admit that to himself at first, but he is drawn to you! he wants to understand you and why you can even compare yourself to him – and ultimately, he wants to beat you!
the rivalry is very one-sided at first, but with bos always picking on you and trying to cause some trouble for you, you quickly feel motivated to beat him as well!
the two of you are fueled by your feelings for each other! you two might call it ‘hate’ but everyone who has to keep up with you two would call those feelings ‘love’
the way you two are obsessed with each other, never shutting up about the other and always attempting to one-up one another
eventually, bos realizes it too. he started all of this, so he had the longest time to think about his feelings for you
but now he wants to make sure he's better than you even more – not to humiliate you, but to show you that he'd be a worthy partner for you, who you can depend on and who can provide for you!
