The night before: Cut the French baguette into bite-size pieces and place them in a 9x13 baking dish. 2. In a bowl, mix together the eggs, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla until well combined. 3. Pour the egg mixture over the bread pieces, ensuring they are evenly coated. 4. Cover the baking dish and refrigerate overnight to allow the bread to soak up the mixture. 5. On the morning of baking: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the brown sugar and light corn syrup, stirring until fully combined. 6. Pour the melted butter mixture over the soaked bread, making sure to distribute it evenly. Top with the pecans. 7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the top is golden and crispy.
