3. What were their first impressions of each other? How does that compare to their impressions of each other now?
theres technically two first impressions so im gonna go over both. when they first met in like the 80s at rff they were kinda just coworkers they didnt really feel any certain way about each other. kinda mutually like Oh thats the guy i work with sometimes.
however first impression that actually matters is in 2004 where andy found bruce passed out in a dennys parking lot and like shook him around a little bit and started chatting him up. and then they eventually go back to andys shitty little apartment. and at this point andy kinda thinks of bruce as like a weird pathetic sad dog that he took in and bruce thinks andy is well intentioned and nice enough (though hed never say either of those things) but very very annoying.
compared to their impressions of each other now. um. jesus christ. andy thinks bruce is an awwwful person. but hes also kind of weird about that and his gut instinct is to defend him anyway because hes too dependent on him to let anything happen. bruce thinks andy is very very naïve and very very stupid. hes also deeply repressed the fact that hes just as, if not more, dependent on andy as andy is on him. theres so much weird stuff with them were kind of only scratching the surface
15. Do they trust each other? Why or why not?
yes and no. bruce doesnt think andys like capable of lying, especially not to him. andy knows that bruce lies constantly and knows they shouldn't trust him but they still do so. idk. theyre weird. theyve been best friends slash roommates for like 20 years so they definitely trust each other more than they trust most other people, but what that says about them individually is different between them. idk you probably sorta get it.
22. When were they the most vulnerable with each other?
