In Broomes Island, all dogs are required to wear coyote vests due to the recent increase in coyote dog crossbreeds on the island, which are believed to have escaped from Richard Simmons' compound. This coyote dog hybrid is colloquially known as a “Broome dog”, as scientists have not seen the same type of dog anywhere else.
