Brooklyn Night
This image was taken on Willoughby Avenue, between Clinton and Waverly. The photographer is looking eastward, toward Pratt Institute.
This print was also made with a filed-out negative carrier, but with the blades of the easel positioned in close—to clean up the ragged edges of the black border. To me, this black border states that the photographer has not cropped their image—a badge of honor back in the day, or for any documentary photographer using film even today.
One image by Richard Koenig; probably taken in 1984 or 1985.
