The worst part about a show undergoing a lobotomy like Veep did is that you can clearly tell the before and after, and the after makes no fucking sense. Like I'm post-lobotomy Veep has Jonah being so genuinely stupid, he denounces math while pre-lobotomy Veep has Jonah being asked for help on the Dream Metric. He understood Kent to an extent.
I am gonna keep on adding the inconsistencies I am noticing in my Veep rewatch:
1. Post- lobotomy Dan hating older women. This is more of Selina and Gary being surprised that Dan would sleep with Amy. Whereas pre-lobotomy Dan would totally sleep with older women. And even if he wasn't attracted to them, Dan is not the kind of character who would go around hating a demographic of people, he wouldn't alienate older women considering they've been his bosses. It is honestly just poor writing, just an excuse for the writers to be more misogynistic towards Amy.
