I just wanted to say that I adore the romance flag system. It makes the RO's feel super alive in the sense that while you can still be a flirt and upfront about your characters feelings, it also adds a depth of "these are things that would make them fall in love with someone" in such natural ways.
Its also somewhat the bane of my existence bc I think I made briony fall in love with me by accident and im romancing someone else rn IM SO SORRY GIRL-

Also LOL yes it's a common problem, between Briony and Trouble it's a whole other dance just trying to avoid making them catch feelings by accident... 😅

thinking I wanna add some other side characters to Briony's story, some other kids that made it out of the research facility and went on, like him, to grow up any way they could. he ends up reconnecting with them after Evelyn LeBlanc is killed, maybe a couple decades down the line. they're all in their 30s and started a support group for any surviving mutants that suffered her "guardianship", and Bri ends up getting an invitation because at least one is a mediocre telepath and another can teleport. ideas (?) under the cut
okay so yeah, there's for sure a basic telepath. super mid, his powers aren't very impressive, like, at all. he grew up to be one of those TV conmen "psychics" you catch on a forgotten cable channel at 11 pm, raised by carnies who found him eating out of a trash can. uses his powers to walk a fine enough line to keep people watching but not so much anyone suspects anything. lives paycheck to paycheck out of his studio "trailer" that he drives around with a beat up pickup. the trailer has his obnoxious face logo plastered on the side but it's getting rusty in places and all his suits are painfully outdated
the teleporter is a woman who ended up as a private investigator, taken in off the street by an elderly human couple living in a shitty, roach infested apartment building a couple cities over from the research facility. put herself through college but decided to stay close to her adoptive family. mostly uses her powers to get past locked doors/security systems and to tail cheating lovers, but also to get around town faster, avoid traffic, skip to the front of the line when no one is paying attention, that sort of thing

Started playing POE: Deadfire last week after finishing off Pillars! Nice to get some more detail in the character creator - Briony finally gets the undercut she deserves.
So far, I have run afoul of pirates multiple times and also acquired three Matthew Mercers, a Liam O'Brien, a Laura Bailey, a Travis Willingham, and a Marisha Ray. Keep running into Taliesin Jaffes all over the place too, and Ashley's been kindly narrating the game for me. It's so fun to hear familiar voices all over.
Also Nekataka is gorgeous and I am so excited about exploring the Huana and Rauatai cultures. Having a lot of fun, and we've barely gotten into the plot yet.
