A test of endurance
Having just returned from the mission SHIELD had sent her on, Tarene wasn't truly in any sort of mood for physical exertion but short of going back to headquarters and allowing them to perform more tests and treat her like a lab rat for a little while, she didn't have much of a choice. After taking up residence in Xavier's school shortly before her mission, she came back to the school hoping to take up her training once more and learn to master her abilities. But she also knew she couldn't do that if she weren't in peak form, so to the treadmill she went.
It had been more than two hours already that she'd been on that machine and though she was slowly beginning to feel the effects of the strain, she knew she'd have to regain her form quickly. Even for an alien, the effects of being in space for months on end were strenuous to the body. Her thoughts were only broken as a flash of blonde hair entered the room. Normally she'd have struck up a conversation but her concentration was elsewhere. At least until she nearly tripped, scuffing her feet against the side of the treadmill. "Shit..." She breathed, the monitor resetting as the belt slowed and stopped.
