Bridget Jones’ Diary ~ Deleted Scene (2001)

Based on BRIDGET JONES' DIARY plot but Pod is both the boss and a good guy and you're his employee trying to stick through with your New Year's Resolution cutting off ties with him.

Y/N, this new year's resolution is possibly and should never be taken for granted anymore. This year is going to apply a lot more changes in my life. For one, breaking off secret bed affairs with my boss, Podrick Payne. No more ass grabbing on the lift to work, no more sneaking off with emails for public restroom sex and most definitely not upskirting one another under dine-in restaurants. Condoms should always be off my grocery list. 

The lift opens its doors with a ding as I walk towards my desk which is three minutes away from Mr. Payne's office. There he is with his see-through room, dialing on his phone, pretending to have a meeting just so he could avoid anyone disturbing his one-on-one email conversations with me. A cigar in between his fingers, my desktop rings a notification. 

From: RICK PAYNE

Ring me by the loo. 

His full name's really Podrick but he finds it more sophisticated to be called Rick at work. Ricky, he loves hearing that from me, he confessed one night while I was sucking him under his desk during a business call in his hotel room. But basically, this is how our meet-ups occur. A single click of the button and he sees me there naked, trying to seduce him as best as I could. 

FROM: RICK PAYNE

Is your thong absent for the day? I miss it.

My fingers handle the situation themselves. It's time to end this distraction. 

FROM: Y/N

My thong prefers to be present at work today. Good day.

I can see him glancing at my desk with confusion, puffing smoke in the air as he types another message. 

FROM: RICK PAYNE

After hours? Sound good?

Nothing can stop this man from fulfilling his lust with me. He's known to be the bad boy of the office. He's known to have slept and earned five stars from every woman he's ever been with. Five stars, I kid you not, is insufficient for his talent finding the clitoris and befriending it with his fingers, successfully hearing his name moan out my lips. Every damn time.

Bridget Jones’s Diary by Helen Fielding is one of the few diaries I’ve had the opportunity to peek into (even though it was fictional), but reading the inside story of other people’s lives is probably why I enjoy memoirs and biographies so much.
