Osprey Nest Over a Bridge on the Banff-Windermere Parkway (Banff National Park) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A friend had mentioned this osprey nest on top of the bridge over the Bow River area. During my last trip, the skies were kind of blah and overcast. On this day in May though, there were blue skies, and I actually saw the osprey fly not too far away from the nest.

Framed by a Bridge by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A view under a Union Pacific Bridge crossing for Lady Bird Lake. While out walking, I noticed the buildings of the downtown area and decided to use the bridge and structures to help frame the view. I later did PP work to pull the shadows of the bridge since I'd kept the image exposed for the highlights off in the distance.

Colorful Leaves and Downtown Austin by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: Here I wanted to focus on some nearby trees on the train bridge. With the angle, I was able to capture nearby downtown buildings as a backdrop. That and the blue skies seemed to capture this early morning Autumn day in Austin.

Cars and Trucks Driving Along I-70 by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: Having just enjoyed this view while driving a few hours earlier, I loved the image of others taking in the same views from their vehicle. For me this image wasn't so much about the mountains as it was about the vehicles and the views the drivers had while passing through the mountains.

Flyover Bridges on I-70 by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: At this point during the day, I was just driving along the service road on the eastern side of Vail, Colorado. I came to this overpass setting with the bridges of the interstate with the hillsides of aspens and evergreens trees. I stopped just to take this in. That is what I visualized for this capture. I walked around to get the right angle with the bridges and flyovers along with nearby hillsides.

As I got closer to the structure and columns of the bridge, I tried to capture angles and views that were more head-on...or at least a balance in the view with the bridge and nearby hillsides and river.
