Unique Plot Ideas for the Reds Triangle with Princess Morbucks
I think a lot of writers for PPG love a good, trashy (complimentary) high school love triangle between Blossom, Brick, and Princess. I do think there's a lot to support Princess trying to "steal" Brick from Blossom, regardless of how she thought he felt, based on her cannon personality. That said, I wanted to put down some plot ideas to add an extra layer, since some of my favorite fics did so.
Brick is in love with Blossom, Princess is infatuated with Brick, and Blossom "hates" Brick. Princess decides to be sweet and less of a bully to lure Blossom into rant about why he's so awful, in order to get leverage to "steal" Brick. After a few weeks of this fake friendship, she realizes how WEIRD these two are specifically about each other and that any attention Brick gives her is because he thinks she's actually befriending Blossom. She has a meltdown about them in the hallway, gets the two together, and stomps away to go flirt with some rich transfer student. Blossom thinks she was actually a super nice person to help them get together, and Princess basically checkmates herself into becoming a close friend of the Utonium family. Even is Blossom's maid of honor and gives a "hilarious" speech at the wedding, catty and half drunk. Possibly her kid's godmother.
Princess and Brick work as a team for a corporate business, and Blossom is the pro-bono lawyer trying to pin them down for crime in Townsville (which is actually being committed by multiple competitors), and she thinks Princess and Brick are secretly married due to a misunderstanding (Princess' dad is getting married again and she sees the wedding invitation, plus a ring on her hand). Brick is trying to keep Blossom away from the morally grey side of their actions, but is also in love with her and keeps orbiting closer to her, which Blossom thinks is guilt. Blossom is super angry but also super attracted to Brick, and then hates herself for falling for a married man. At the end, Princess catches the two and makes some casual comment about at least having office trysts in his private office and not the reception room, Blossom panics about an immoral threesome, Brick freaks out because what the hell is she talking about, Blossom argues about consensual polygamy, Princess puts it together and then goes on a shopping spree to cleanse her brain from their dumb antics. The Reds work it out and manage to direct the legal case in order to catch the real criminal.
Blossom is running for President (or possibly the Mayor of Townsville), and Princess hires Brick to help the opposition she's funding. Brick, thinking Blossom would be an out of touch politician, at first takes the money and does as Princess asks, possibly even running against her to become a political puppet. But as he learns more about her on the campaign trail, he comes to respect her and eventually realize he hated her so much because of how he felt about being attracted to her as their lives played out. The two eventually get together, and Princess just buys her own island to be a ruler of, after they escape the consequences of Princess' scheme.
