As someone who has never watched The Owl House, (and isn't planning to but I might follow the story,) and so cannot necessarily be considered a "True Fan™️," yet has somehow recently become obsessed with the ship called Huntlow, I would love to see Willow be terrified of Hunter just to add to the trauma bandwagon.
Like, you know that scene where Hunter is like "She'd never be afraid of me?"
Let's have Willow be terrified of him because of something the evil dude (Belos right? I know he "died" but like Did He Tho?) did to try and poison their relationship and manipulate Hunter even more.
Even if it's just like a vision, let's have that angst.
Because like, Hunter's version of Willow seems to give "This girl could kick my ass and I would get on my knees and thank her for it," mixed with "If something ever happens to her, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself" vibes so like.....
I'm ready for the angst in their relationship.
Apparently The Owl House is full of angst, but I want more trauma.
Torture these kids more, I want to see it.
Give my newfound ship obsession the terrible (and lovely) angst it deserves!
Do not get me wrong, I love them; their dynamic is precious, and their relationship is adorable, but sometimes you just want characters to suffer so their happy ending is even more sweet!!!
Favorite stoic whumpee prompt/trope? For science, of course
Hnnnng, stoic whumpees finally breaking. Cold faced and stony until they’re pushed too far and all of that fades away.
Torture fics, the whumper finally getting a reaction out of them. A grunt of pain, or a bit of information spilled just to try and get it to stop.
Or stoic whumpee making a self sacrifice play, begging and groveling for whoever else (teammate... lover) to be spared.
Sic/injured fic, the stoic whumpee finally breaking down and admitting they need help/care/attention.
