I had a dream where a bunch of kids tried to convince me strawberries were a scent based bracha not a taste based one and it was Shabbos so I couldn’t look it up to tell them they were wrong.
Happy Tu B'Shvat, here's some foods with the brachot I think would fit them better:
-Dry roasted salted peanuts are HaAdama. However, they really have a Mezonot vibe. I'm always accidentally saying Mezonot on them.
-Canned olives are HaEtz. But they have such HaAdama vibes they really do.
-Bananas and melons are HaAdama. They have HaEtz vibes.
-This one is controversial- Matzah is HaMotzi. It is quintessentially HaMotzi. Nevertheless. It *feels* like it should be Mezonot!
-Mashed potatoes is HaAdama. But it feels like it should be SheHaKol.
