am i just misunderstanding something or is the girl/boy code of “if your SO ever calls asking for you/about what you did last night/can’t get ahold of you, ill cover no questions asked” a bad plan because
1.) that is so easily disproven. “can i talk to them” “…no” and
2.) if my best friend is not answering their phone and their SO hasn’t talked to them since yesterday and has resorted to calling friends, showing that this is an uncommon behavior, ID BE WORRIED!! that is a possible missing person. that is my best friend. i’m making a chart of their last known location and the times
yes, no questions asked covering is probably helpful when it’s a surprise you didn’t know about and they want to keep their SO surprised, or with abusive relationships because you never know what actually happens behind closed doors, but i’m banking on that if my best friend was using me as a cover, they had enough common sense to get our stories straight so it’s at least not completely fucking obvious that we are lying
