Black Wildebeest Connochaetes gnou

The natural populations of black wildebeest, endemic in the southern part of Africa, were almost completely exterminated in the 19th century, due to their reputation as pests and the value of their hides and meat, but the species has been reintroduced widely from captive specimens, both in private areas and nature reserves throughout most of Lesotho, Eswatini, and South Africa.

Muskox Ovibos moschatus

In historic times, muskoxen primarily lived in Greenland and the Canadian Arctic. They were formerly present in Eurasia, with their youngest natural records in the region dating to around 2,700 years ago. There are reintroduced populations in Alaska, Yukon, Siberia, and Norway.

Its Inuktitut name "umingmak" translates to "the bearded one". Its Woods Cree names "mâthi-môs" and "mâthi-mostos" translate to "ugly moose" and "ugly bison", respectively.

Dibatag Ammodorcas clarkei

Also known as Clark's gazelle, a medium-sized slender antelope native to Ethiopia and Somalia. Though not a true gazelle, it is similarly marked, with long legs and neck. Dibatags are well adapted to semi-arid habitats, with the capability of surviving on very little or no water.

Addax Addax nasomaculatus

The addax lives in arid regions, semideserts and sandy and stony deserts in North Africa. It mainly eats grasses and leaves of shrubs, leguminous herbs and bushes. It can live without water for long periods of time. Addax form herds of five to 20 members, consisting of both males and females.

Red Serow Capricornis rubidus

A goat-antelope native to southern Bangladesh and northern Myanmar. Serow in South and Southeast Asia are threatened by habitat destruction and severe poaching issues despite legal protections.
