𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🍹 Let’s all admit it, Prosecco is horrible after the 2nd glass and having it for a bottomless brunch isn’t exciting at all. That’s why I’ll be recommending @rudieslondon bottomless rum punch brunch down at @brixton.village to everyone from now on. Every Saturday & Sunday, 12-4pm, for 90 minutes you get non stop rum punch, which is VERY boozy btw, it’s not watered down, plus a brunch dish for £26.50. It’s a small menu food-wise, but what we had was really good! Eggs Benedict; Jerk pork, poached free range eggs and hollandaise sauce on Johnny cake. That pork was delicious, full of flavour and only enhanced by the hollandaise sauce. Yeah Mon! Full Jamaican; Ackee & saltfish, lamb sausage, baked butter beans, fried plantain & Johnny cake. I never thought I’d be having fish with breakfast but that saltiness goes perfect with the rest of the dish. The sausages were great, plus you get that sweet element from the plantain. Big fan of this brunch, I think it beats their main menu for me. I’m not sure if this is done as standard, but rather than waiting for refills we got given a whole jug of punch. 𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🥂 If I knew Saturday was my last bottomless brunch for a while I would have stayed and had a glass or two more 😢. But the bottomless brunch at Arenella, popping up at @islingtonchapelbar, was a great way to see it out. It’s an authentic Sicilian menu with Italian spritz cocktails, and for £35 you get unlimited Prosecco, aperol spritz, vino Bianco spritz, or elderflower spritz for 2 hours plus 2 courses. We shared a starter, had a main each, and shared a dessert. I enjoyed the steak, it was a good size, and the wild mushroom & black truffle tortelloni was very nice. We finished on the mini chocolate hazelnut doughnuts, which I loved. 𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🥂 Bottomless brunch has just launched at @thestandardlondon. Every Sunday from 12-5pm you can get bottomless Prosecco or Bloody Mary’s for £20 for 2 hours. Food is not included but ordered separately, and there’s a good small selection of dishes. There’s granola, pancakes, eggs, a brunch dog, and we went for the avocado on toast and the brunch burger. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the burger was. I’ve had @chef_adamrawson’s burgers on a few occasions, and this burger was delicious. A beef patty, which was VERY good quality, with Bloody Mary ketchup, bacon, and smoked cheddar. From 3pm for a couple of hours you a mix of gospel, along with 60s and 70s soul, and believe me, they are all VERY talented. We had a lot of fun and there was a great atmosphere, I love brunches with entertainment. I’ve had brunch here before, and both times I’ve been pleased. The winner for me this time round was the French toast and the creole crab Benedict. But can you ever really do the full Blues Kitchen experience if you don’t get the deep fried Oreos? On Saturdays and Sundays for £21.99pp you get 90 minutes of unlimited Prosecco, lassis, or tea, then a set menu in which you receive all 8 dishes. My highlights being the masala omelette, peas-stuffed Indian puri, and spicy lamb keema with quails egg. You get a good mix of savoury and sweet, plus you can also add extra dishes at a cost. The spicy fries were great! It’s definite great value for money, and to be honest I didn’t end up drinking much as I expected as I wanted to enjoy the food more. Before bottomless brunches were a thing, if you told someone you were drunk at 1pm on a Sunday they would judge your life choices so much, but now everyone does it, so there’s nothing to be ashamed of. So I did just that, I went and got pissed at @theblueskitchen Sunday lunchtime and had a great time. £17 for bottomless mimosas or bloody Mary’s, with an upgrade to include Prosecco, for 2 hours is really good value, especially how you are constantly being topped up. I’ve had other bottomless brunches where you have to wait ages and then ask to be made more drunk. The food is separate, but there’s some great dishes here. The brekkie burger is exactly what you need at this time on a Sunday, the huevos rancheros is always a choice I make when im here, but the surprise dish for me was the creole crab benedict. Something I’d never expect to order, especially for brunch, but it was SO good. The bottomless brunch is available at their Brixton and Shoreditch restaurants on Saturdays and Sundays, booking is advised.
