ᑭᒐᒥᐅ ᑎᑎᑐᒐᒋᑦ / Cape Dorset 1971
1971 :: Cape Dorset :: West Baffin Eskimo Co-Operative
An exhibition catalogue of stonecut prints and engravings from the Inuit artists of Cape Dorset, Baffin Island, North West Territories. It not only is a treasure trove of aesthetic inspiration from a non-western non-white perspective, but it is also a great resource for multilingual typesetting. This exhibition catalog is in Inuktitut Syllabics, French, and English. It is interesting to see how the designer chose to balance the form of the syllabic script with that of the latin script.
