“Jennifer has become a mindless beast.
Deformed by the Boreworm, even Rick couldn’t recognize her now.
She is changed.......forever.”
Jesus, Namco, did you really need to punish us with that imagery?

BOREWORM: Michigan Progressive Death Hive Release New Video For "Drone"
Michigan progressive death hive BOREWORM are proud to unearth their first-ever music video "Drone," streaming now via Metal Injection.
Prepare for insectile death with the new video for "Drone" here
Formed near Detroit in 2013 by guitarist Michael Bielenda (ex-The Yellow Sign) and conceptualized by a palatial arching science fiction mythos and the brutal atmosphere of cosmic horror, BOREWORM paints an aggressive, yet hauntingly melodic, musical soundscape. The band's music weaves its apocalyptic storyline through a modern death metal exoskeleton, leading to quite a growing fanbase—and its inclusion as the only unsigned band to be a part of Summer Slaughter Festival, where BOREWORM blazed a path of destruction across the US in 2014. Persevering through various strife and personnel changes, the Midwestern death unit holds strong to its unique prophetic vision. After recording their second EP, Entomophobia, with former The Contortionist frontman David Hoffman, the band welcomed original vocalist Nathan Wittock back into the fold in 2019 to resume the legacy forged on BOREWORM's debut album The Black Path. The evolution continues as the band is currently writing and recording the next chapter in the BOREWORM narrative, Predatory Bilocation.

BOREWORM Unleashes Pulverizing New Single "Vile Husk" Through Metal Injection
Insectile death metal outfit BOREWORM (ex-The Yellow Sign, ex-The Contortionist) have premiered the first single from their forthcoming Entomophobia EP at Metal Injection.
Tilted "Vile Husk", the new track unleashes pummeling, rhythmically-jarring, venomous angular riffage, and virtuosic solo work across three minutes of mayhem. Metal Injection says BOREWORM "play a devastatingly heavy yet eclectic brand of modern death metal. With a sound that draws from the twisted frenzy of technical death metal, black metal infused elements, lead guitar work playing straight out of progressive death metal, and rounded out by the mechnical sheen and groove machinery of djent." Bear witness to auditory cosmic horrors at Metal Injection now! BOREWORM unleash cosmic horror on their sophomore EP, Entomophobia. Engineered and mixed by guitarist Mike Bielenda and mastered at The Pop Machine in Indianapolis by Wes Heaton, Entomophobia unleashes four tracks of blistering technicality and malevolent atmosphere that solidifies BOREWORM’s place as one of extreme metal’s new acts to watch.
The group effortlessly blends technical death metal virtuosity with disemboweling sludge and progressive splendor on this new, death-dealing release. Mike Bielenda’s (ex-The Yellow Sign) guitar playing conjures nightmarish, discordant riffs that intertwine with each other in serptentine fashions. Cody McCoy (Černá,Anagnorisis contributor) and Sam Fraser round out an impressive rhythm section with tumultuous percussion and subterranean bass lines. At the heart of this madness is vocalist Dave Hoffman (ex-The Contortionist), whose vile ululations propel the music further into dark territory. Guests include Rivers of Nihil’s Brody Uttley, who provides a solo on the EPs title track. Entomophobia is sure to win the hearts of fans of forward-thinking death metal everywhere. Entomophobia will be released independently on November 19 through Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify and all other platforms worldwide. Digital pre-orders can be placed here and CD pre-order bundles can be found at this location. Entomophobia track listing: 1. Synapse 2. Esoteric 3. Vile Husk 4. Entomophobia Formed in 2013 by former THE YELLOW SIGN bassist turned guitarist Michael Bielenda and Inspired by a grand, arching science fiction mythos and the oppressive atmosphere of cosmic horror, BOREWORM paints an aggressive yet hauntingly melodic musical soundscape. The band weaves a concept album storyline through a modern death metal exoskeleton and since it's inception has been growing and expanding on a fanbase of loyal listeners with self produced music releases and videos and, more recently with their inclusion as the only unsigned band to be a part of the seminal metal festival SUMMER SLAUGHTER blazed a path of devastating live performances across the country in 2014. Persevering through strife and member changes the band holds strong to its unique apocalyptic vision and welcomed former THE CONTORTIONIST vocalist and frontman David Hoffman earlier in the year. The band returns for the follow up to The Black Path EP with Entomophobia, showcasing their eclectic style and furious metallic delivery. BOREWORM at the time of recording: Dave Hoffman // Vocals Mike Bielenda // Guitars Cody McCoy // Drums Sam Fraser // Bass Praise for Entomophobia: " Within only 4 tracks, you get a wide range of extreme music. Sludge, death metal, death groove and a scarily grand blend of melodic death metal meets post-rock. This fusion of music makes Boreworm standout more so than anything else I have heard before. Something I can put on and listen to over and over, Entomophobia deserves your attention. This is a high quality death metal release for fans of the genre who want a mind blowing experience." -Headbang or GTFO Praise for The Black Path EP: "Craving some extreme heaviness? Follow "The Black Path" and experience Insectile Death Metal. Dark, and unforgiving, the music burrows into the depths of your mind. It will show you a steamrolling metal force, fierce riffs, and bitter technicality surrounded in an atmospheric catalyst with hints of nostalgic melody and shred." - The Circle Pit "If you’re looking for a journey through space and time which will leave you in awe and absolutely mesmerized, look no further than Boreworm’s Black Path. Filled with stunning solos, pounding percussion, lacerating riffs and devastating heaviness, there is a little something for everyone in this release; even if the result is an allure so tantalizing and captivating the EP will end up sucking you in, splitting your bones and chewing you up." - New-Transcendence "This is 16 captivating minutes of well-written metal that enables the band’s many influences to feed off each other, forming an unholy foundation of rage and despair. The icing on the cake is the absolutely devastating production job, which serves to intensify the magnitude of how huge their sonic assault sounds. Black Path is so immense it’s easy to get immersed in it, and not just when things are going full speed." - No Clean Singing Follow BOREWORM on the net at: Facebook Bandcamp Youtube -###- For press inquiries, please contact [email protected]
