An interesting thing about me is that in 6th grade a girl gave me coloured stones, even after asking me out. These coloured stones were ones she would find in gardens and paint, sometimes putting little flowers or crosses on them. we dated for a while, and it had gone great. she had asked me quite a few times to paint stones with her, and I refused. It was her thing and I didn’t wanna take that, although now I regret it. One day when I was walking home, she asked once more “will you paint stones with me?” And I said no. I had to do chores that day, so we split ways. The next day she didn’t show up to school. I grew worried and later I was informed she was in hospital after being hit by a car while crossing the road. I wanted to visit her but it was too late, she had passed later that night. I cried for ages, and eventually visited her gravestone once I built up the strength. I brought a backpack of paint and on every visit I’d paint her stone until it was completely coloured in (at the time, I was aware paint would wash off I was a dumb kid so it took time) and in the end i didn’t go anymore. That one act was all I could do. to this day I think of her, her antics her talents and it saddens me. I also think of what if she knew she was going to die? flowers, stones, crosses? preparing for her death because she saw it coming? they ruled it as an accident, but what if her family had something to do with it? Was she in danger? And she was. I recently found the stones she painted (yes I kept them) and there seemed to be some sort of codes on the backs - I’ve only uncovered the Morse code as it’s all I know but from what I have so far, the words are bond,bound,pain,gone,ground. It’s odd. maybe a bond she was bound to that inflicted pain? All I know it that she knew. She knew she was going to die. I’m still unsure why or how though. But, I did just make this entire thing up.
