Fence fans I need your help, sooo after last year's awful international release of breakthrough (couldn't buy it digitally for months! with truly no explanation from boom or pacat) I had already pre-ordered the paperback as soon as I saw it available on amazon (maybe beginning of the year?) BUT I got an email canceling my order a few days ago because there weren't copies to ship and then I realised the volume was supposed to be out at the end of July. So anyway, is this once again an issue with international readers? Cause I searched for in other stores and I don't see it anywhere and I don't know if you guys in America have the paperback to purchase now or there was a change of date. I once again asked boom but they never respond to my eternal please what about fence comments.
Why whenever there is a new PR comic, its always about some alternate universe about the MMPR team. Like I get that BOOM has focused mostly on MMPR because it sells but I really wish they focused on other teams like RPM, Mystic Force, etc. I know there's been one-shots about In Space and Time Force, but damn, please pick something un-MMPR to write a series about. How about a original team that is not based on anything MMPR? Just a wholly original team based off an concept like, tarot cards or something?
I'd love to see something that probably couldn't be done in a TV setting, like a team that travels through different periods in time. There's SO MUCH you can do with that in a comic setting, so much space to expand upon. Or maybe another magic themed series like Mystic Force. It's been like 20 years since that, I feel like there is potential to explore these stories WITHOUT the influence of MMPR.
I doubt that Boom would do anything like this, but oh well. Off to read PR Advent Horizon again.
