this day started with a flop, where I found out we don't have the "Technology of painting" class today, the one i was looking for, and that it's actually gonna be moved to Wednesdays so I won't be able to attend. I signed out of it and signed into a "Chapters from Czech and Czechoslovakian history" class though, because I felt really lost in the general knowledge of things. also had an unplanned study session with Moss and its classmate, was in the school's study room for the first time and signed up into two libraries, the university's one and the city one. also my roommate arrived and she's cool with my pride flags and in general :)

The circus arrives without warning.

No announcements precede it, no paper notices on downtown posts and billboards, no mentions or advertisements in local newspapers. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not.

sorry for being MIA. i moved across the country and started my phd program so its been a bit chaotic, but in the best way possible. i haven't been reading for leisure as much but i did read The Couple Next Door for a book club I joined. still working through Spare and The Count of Monte Cristo. this will be an interesting reading period for me to say the least!

i devoured ‘the secret garden’ in record time today; it is so charmingly written. been having a bit of writer’s block lately, and i really hope i get over it soon, because it’s actually so frustrating to have a plan and know what i want to write but not have the right words for it.
