I did finish Hillbilly Elegy by JD Vance. This book was thought-provoking. He has an interesting perspective on how government policies can help people because of his background. He came from a rough background, but because of solid grandparents and a lot of hard work and determination, he worked his way up the ladder, to serve honorably in our Marine Corps, attaining a law degree from Yale, and now as Vice President of the United States! The book is a little slow moving, but very good. I enjoyed getting to know the new Vice President a little bit, where he came from, and his point of view. Five Stars.

And let's not overlook the delightful banter! ๐ The witty exchanges had me grinning from ear to ear. Additionally, the individual growth of each character, while preserving their distinct dynamic, kept me completely engrossed. Talk about a power-packed odyssey!
Now, I must admit, there's a character named Lionel who didn't quite strike the right chord with me. ๐ โโ๏ธ We all have those characters we don't quite connect with, don't we? While I adore a good series, the length of this one did occasionally test my patience. With eight books in the series, although the win-lose dynamic remains, it does feel slightly stretched. However, that's merely my humble opinion! ๐คทโโ๏ธ
