Only (?) 12, but on top of that I've read about (this is a low estimate) 300.000 words of fic as well lmao. I've given up on tracking how many fics I've read this year by now.

3. what is your favourite genre?
That's really difficult to answer tbh. I really like sci-fi (of the Michael Crichton and Philip K. Dick variety, especially). I love fantasy of the Terry Pratchett variety. I like reading books set in historical times, both because they were written then, but also historical fiction. I've been very taken with future fiction as well. Ironically, because I do aspire to write roman fiction, I don't read a lot of romance fiction lmao. I also read a lot of non-fiction, both for my degree, but also works that criticise/debate different parts of the societal status quo.
Things I am looking forward to because they make me happy thinking about them:
1. Witch Hat Atelier season 1 finale episode. I am UNBEARABLY excited for this, I can’t wait to see how the season wraps up, even if it’s probably gonna be on the biggest cliffhanger ever.
2. My copy of A Prince Among Pirates by Katie Abdou arriving soon. I am also super excited to get my copy as I LOVE pirates, but especially books about pirates, and the premise of this particular book is very intriguing (also it’s queer and I’ve never read a queer pirate novel, so I’m even more excited for that)
3. Adversary to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer releasing in early August. It’s the fourth book in the Assistant to the Villain series and I desperately need it like right now. But alas, all I can do is wait in excitement for it to be released :)
Just spent 3 and 1/2 hours writing non-stop.
Wrote the most angsty (and wholesome) shit of all time.
Came up with some new lore for one my characters, it’s not fun for them.
My characters are going through it. I’m so sorry characters, one day you’ll be happy and the world will be peaceful.
But today is not that day. You must experience The Horrors first.
