Welcome back to our Bonaire trip! Episode 2, We dive into the messy middle of this unforgettable journey. As new divers, the kids need to be reminded to stick to the buddy system underwater. If you are traveling with junior divers Bonaire is the place to go, there were more dives than we had time to do this trip. We worked with Buddy Dive who assigned us a few extra guides to help keep everyone safe. 1,000 steps beach is a great dive spot and is filled with hermit crabs, which the kids loved to find and collect between dives. Bonaire is a small island so remember to make dinner reservations as far in advance as possible (before you step foot on the island) or you will be eating takeout like we ended up doing most nights!

Welcome back to our Bonaire trip! Episode 3, Today we do some boat dives with extra guides which allows more time for those that want to be underwater, highly recommend 1 guide per 3 kids. Also learned that while it is a tropical paradise full-length wetsuits would have been a better choice for us to bring because the kids usually exited the water due to them getting too cold. Jack's goal was to see a Lionfish this trip which he does on the dive we take today! We rented out the backend of the Melisa Dinner Sail. The best food we had on the island even though the kids didn't love the oysters! Highly recommend this to any and all travelers to Bonaire. We ended most evenings playing games we brought from home, highly recommend the BeanBoozled game with a bigger crowd. Watch to find out who gets stuck eating a dead-fish-flavored Jelly Bean.
