📚 — what level of education has your oc most recently completed/is currently in (GED, undergraduate, grad school, phd, etc)?

i don't really know how education levels would really work out in the wasteland but diana is a trained physician/combat medic through the bos! she was training under her father to be a midwife and continued/expanded her studies once she enlisted with them. her focus is primarily on trauma/field medicine

🚫 — does your oc drink/smoke? do they do it regularly, or is it more on occasion or for special events?

diana drinks like a fish and smokes like a chimney lol, and never needs a special occasion to do either

despite how wicked her temper can truly be, diana’s incredibly laid back and allows a lot of things to 1) roll right off of her and 2) allows things (that she probably shouldn’t) to happen while under her charge. it frequently gets her, and not her men, in trouble with maxson

very straightforward. there’s no beating around the bush with her, she tells it as it is. it's up to whoever she's being frank with to take it personally and she doesn't really care if they do

i really do think she's quite strange...

6. How comfortable is your OC in their skin? Do they like who they are? What would they want to change about themself?

Austin is more comfortable now than he ever was prewar. He gets to fish and hunt (but especially fish) as much as he wants and no one bothers him. There's nothing he would change at all.

Alexis, however, is a different story than her brother. Being trans, she obviously was uncomfortable being raised as a boy especially in the hyper conservative pre-war era. However, once she turned 18 and entered college, she started to experiment more with her gender, eventually coming out as trans and lesbian to her brother. She was very relieved when he didn't reject her and even helped with her top surgery and hrt with his military family insurance stuff.

Post entering vault 111 is a different story altogether for Alexis. When Kellogg refroze everyone after grabbing Shaun, her pod malfunctioned causing severe frostbite. She lost her nose, eyes, and her ring and pinkie finger and the tip to the knuckle of her index finger on her right hand and her entire middle finger and the tips of her ring and thumb on her left. She tried to survive in the vault for about two weeks, then she left the vault and tried to survive in Sanctuary (the survival shelter behind that house was hers during this period). A month later, a rad derecho happened and she ghoulified after a few days after the storm. From Sanctuary, she eventually reaches Diamond City and ran the funeral home, crematory, and small graveyard there. It was here where she has her penis finally removed, though it wasn't a proper bottom surgery more like a eunuch? 64 years later and she's now comfortable with everything.

16. Is there anyone your OC has lost contact with? What happened?

Most everyone they've both ever known prewar.

Alexis, though, lost even more people after the ghoul exodus from diamond city.

18. What are your OC's bad habits?

Austin still follows fishing and gaming laws rigidly. He also tends to become extremely hyperfocused, and tunes everything out.

Giving her Sweets and Nuka cola (double affinity if they are Fancy lads Snack Cakes and Nuka Cherry)

Taking unkind or mean options

Not Giving the medicine to Austin in Vault 88

Killing the Wounded Dog

Selling Billy and his family into Slavery would be an automatic hatred

Making her steal (she is neutral to the player stealing)

Aligning with the Brotherhhod of Steel, the Institute, or Raiders

Giving her alcohol, mirelurk meat, or chems (she doesn't do chems or drink alcohol, and is allergic to mirelurk meat). If I could rig it somehow I would make her take periodic damage if she's made to carry mirelurk meat.

6. Would they be available to all players? Or only those who made specific story choices?

She would be available to all players that I have given the romanceable option too. I think She would be available after level 15 in the Wildwood cemetary.

10. How do you feel about the Boss' darker acts in SR2 (burying people alive, burning down section 8 housing, trapping a woman in the boot of a monster truck rally prop car)? Does it reflect how you see your Boss?

I'll start with saying that Jessica (trapped in the trunk of her own car and run over) and Shogo (Johnny buries him alive) totally deserved and got what was coming.

Jessica ordered the act of dragging someone around town chained to a truck, which is a horrible slow and extremely painful way to die, and she had subtle hints of racism towards Carlos in the first cinematic (You look like my old housekeeper). I'm angry that the death she got was most likely quick and only a fraction of the pain she caused.

(Spoilers for a 17 year old game)

Shogo didn't behead Aisha himself, but the fact that his right hand man did it anyway. Aisha was an innocent bystander and not involved in any of the Saint's stuff (in 2) besides being Johnny's girlfriend. And then... not even allowing Johnny and the Boss the right to grieve at her funeral. Instead, Shogo made an extremely crass and tactless stand at her funeral. He died how he lived, encased by something bigger than himself.

Now I'm not saying the other acts the Boss does are correct. I don't think Matt deserved what happened to him (hand burned by fireworks), burning the section 8 housing to prevent Ultor's gentrification.

Where was your OC born, and where did they grow up?

S/he was born in Stilwater and grew up in the trailer park.

Jesse is bigender and arolesbian. I don't think s/he's aware that s/he's aro, it just doesn't cross hir mind. (Yeah, I decided to give hir my pronouns and gender, s/he's not a self insert though). S/he's also very butch.

☕ americano – what’s their brutally honest opinion about something that can go for hours?

How bad the Brotherhood actually is. That they are a cult and will not be anything good for the Commonwealth, no matter how peaceful they claim to be. She would try her best to convince others not to fall for their propaganda by using her experiences with them.
