Summary: MC gives Raf some TLC when he's feeling off from the upcoming ebb day
How about Raf being slightly dismorphic about his legs AND they're sore and achy bc Ebb Day brings out his Lemurian form as much as he's willing to let out AND MC is lowkey a leg girly? I mean of course she likes every part of her favorite fishie, legs or tail, which he had yet to show her and still claims is a myth, but she love every part of him, but something about his graceful, long legs is just icing on top.
It's close to Ebb day and Raf is just not having a great time. He's moodier and more clingy than usual and, strangely, his usual graceful self is nowhere to he seen. Rafayel is tripping over himself, cursing his clumsy legs and wishing he could just swim around in the cool buoyant waters with his tail instead of having to act like a human. You, in an effort to make him feel a little better, tell him that you loves every version of him, human, lemurian, scales or toes, human, fish, shrimp, blobfish or blowfish. Rafayel scoffs at the comparison to a blobfish ot shrimp doesn't deny the blowfish comparison tho and you decide to reassure him just how much you love him.
It starts off innocent enough. He laments to you about how much his legs hurt - tingly and achy and stiffer than usual, like they're not his own. Complains that he kept tripping, missed steps while going up and down stairs, spilled his melon yogurt drink all over himself and the floor earlier before you arrived, and he had to lick his wounds (ice his bruised shin) and clean up the mess all alone. He's frustrated because usually the man is beauty and he's grace he's Mr. Linkon Sta- so he's not only sore from the looming effects of Ebb Day, but also because he keeps tripping and banging his legs into things.
Like Raf is all upset about the newfound clumsiness because he's usually so graceful and he has a few bruises/a large bruise on his leg. You both sit on the couch in the studio, Rafayel leaning into you pouting, and you are comforting him.
While cuddling, you drag his legs onto your lap and coddle him a little because "aww my poor fishie" and rubs up and down his legs because they feel prickly and sore. You vaguely wonder if there was some truth in the original Little Mermaid fairy tale where the mermaid constantly felt pain with every step she took on land. Rafayel mentions that he smacked his thigh into his desk earlier when he was sketching something. You get a brilliant idea while you absentmindedly run your hand along the part of his leg resting on your lap: A massage!
You offer to give him a massage to help with the bruising and tingly feeling in his legs. Rafayel pulls you into a clingy hug and happily accepts your offer with a fond smile.
So Raf takes off his pants, leaving on his boxer-briefs while you get up and head to the medicine cabinet and grab an ointment from the bathroom. You settle back on the couch and bring his legs back into your lap and you start rubbing it into the dark bruises marring his pale flesh. You're enjoying the feel of his slender tones legs and Raf is enjoying the attention bc he's Rafayel and the massage is also helping ease the leg pains from the upcoming Ebb Day. Everything is innocent and coupley and intimate in the way that doesn't need to go further or ask for more.

Until you start to work on his thighs and you notice how the bit of supple fat bouncing back with your ministrations combine with his lean muscles tensing as you work on particularly sensitive bruises and its all over at that point. You feel your resolve starting to slip until you see Rafayel's relaxed expression and you drag your mind back from the gutter. You strengthen your resolve to finish the massage without anything devolving when you know your boyfriend isn't feeling well right now.
You ask Raf to turn onto his stomach so you can get he back of his thighs and loosen up the tendons. You naively think the change in position will help you refocus. Yeah, because then you can just focus on helping relax his muscles and ease out some knots and loosen his sore tendons and not his beautiful face or the noises escaping his plush lips. He agrees to turn over - albeit a little reluctantly because he was getting comfortable and relaxed from all the attention and feeling your hands moving smoothly over his skin.
He does so and sighs into the plush cushions of the couch, practically melting as she eases the tension out of his muscles, fully blissed out. Meanwhile YOU ARE FIGHTING FOR YOUR LIFE. BC you had meant for this to be RELAXING DAMN IT! This was supposed to comfort her boyfriend and help him relax and feel at home in his skin again, but goddamn do you wanna BITE his upper thigh as soon as he turns over. Because, really, why on earth did you think this was a good idea and would help you refocus because now you have a his thighs and perfect butt resting across your lap and somehow YOU THOUGHT HIM TURNING AROUND WOULD HELP YOU FOCUS!? You bite your lip, take a grounding breath, and start reciting the Deep Space Hunter mantra over and over in your head.
Soon enough though, Raf is feeling relaxed and frisky as she loosens up the . He starts moving subtly against your lap and couch and soon enough you feel him against her lap. Your resolve snaps.
"Hey, Raf, Sweetheart," You say, voice somehow even, "Does that feel good?"
You watch his head nod, face still buried in the cushions, hips still moving against your lap. You hear him make a sound somewhere between a whimper and an 'mhmm'
And with that, you decide to just go for it and bite the back of Raf's upper thigh. He yelps and bucks against your lap. And it's all over from there. Innocent massage has been forgotten, you now have a ride-able fish dinner.
Soon Raf no longer has a single large bruise on his right thigh. He now has 3 dozen hickies scattered all around his thighs and ass. Fish got MAULED. He complains later, but it's not like he didn't get his own revenge on the you you the next day - Ebb Day.
Pouts that if he had his tail he "wouldn't have been mauled"
"There." You say casually.
"Huh?"
"You wouldn't have been mauled there. That still leaves your shoulders, pecks, neck, waist, back, hands - "

Imagine having a rough day so you and rafayel both keep swapping cute animal tik toks until you come across that one video of the fish being clingy with a diver and getting in the way of whatever they're doing so the diver just keeps gently gently pushing the fish out of the way and going 'that's you' to Raf.
Thus begins a bloody war as you both keep looking for goofier animal videos.
He shows you a video of a kitten devouring a slice of ham.
You show him a video of a menace swan.
He shows you a video of a demon pomeranian.
You show him a video of a seal wailing.
Each video is followed by a comment of "you when [x]"
It contues for days, but the game shifts over time until you're sending him videos of otters holding hands while they sleep and he's sending you videos of divers petting sharks and monkeys sharing fruit while watching something out of frame and each video is now followed by a comment of "us when [x]"
I lowkey feel like Rafayel and Caleb would be the best at helping you dye your hair.
Rafayel knows the exact shades of the rainbow that compliment your skin tone and would research the best formulas for your hair type. If you want to do an ombre or multiple colors he'd blend them perfectly and know the best ways to neutralize your previous dye jobs to make the new color pop and happily relax with you in the tub while you wait for the bleach/dye to do its thing. Wikl 10000% gently dry your hair and apply products to better set the dye and repair your hair from the bleach. No matter the color or colors you choose he always wants to paint you with the results, but if you happen to dye it a shade or purple, or seafoam, or an oceanic blue, he will go feral in the best way. (('Cutie! You look like an ocean goddess, my own personal Aphrodite! Please please please I need to paint you en plaine aire at the bay! Caleb has been helping you do your hair since you both were kids, so you KNOW he knows the exact formula that won't fry your hair to oblivion. He happily massages the dye into your hair and will go with any color you want - but if you happen to dye it red or green he WILL refer to you as an apple at EVERY opportunity. While he's not the best at figuring out the best shades of color ('they're both red Pips, I'll buy you whichever color you like the most, i know you'll look great with it' 'they're not just red Caleb, this one is honey mist auburn and this one is rosy maple rouge!). He'd also happily make you a quick meal while the bleach and dye set in. After you've finished dying it, he would absolutely tug you into his lap and apply and hair mask to make sure your hair stays healthy and recovers form the chemicals.
Thinking abt BoTW Xavier/MC au where Xavier is raised with the weight of the world on his shoulders and the growing tension of his power not fully awakening and growing frustration towards MC who seemingly awakens her triforce power so easily - as naturally as breathing - while most he can do is summon a small ball of divine light in his palm.
Thinking abt BoTW au Prince Xavier wo gets MC assigned as his personal guard despite constantly studying and training his own swordfighting. He's lowkey offended anyone thinks he needs a personal knight until the two spar and MC is the first person to match his own skill with a blade.
BoTW!Xavier who tries to loose his personal knight Champion!MC so he can study the sheikah tech that has slowly been uncovered by researches in the kingdom only for MC to pop out of nowhere scaring the shit out of surprising Prince!Xavier with her appearance only to shout at her to leave him alone already
BoTW! AU Champion!MC who never planned to have the weight of the world thrust upon her shoulders when the fabled sword chooses her, she just grabbed the first weapon she saw when spies came out of nowhere to assassinate Prince Xavier

So i was just going about my life, doing some house cleaning on a day off and remembered that Rafayel gave MC a gift for one of the in universe holidays - i think it was hunter appreciation day or something like that and it was a dagger

So my mind wandered and I was thinking, since the text in the game didn't really specify what the dagger looked like, what if it looks kinda similar to the dagger MC pulls out of SeaGod!Rafayel's heart???
That slight 'S' shape, the blade shifting in the opposite direction from the gold, almost delicately molded handle, which is wrapped in hand-dyed soft, durable leather. The blade is a rare metal and in certain light it takes on the same shade and shimmer as his own scales. Words of devotion are engraved in elegant calligraphy using symbols you don't recognize in a language you've only heard a few words of during intimate moments,
Rafayel would claim he was just inspired and followed some artistic whim, but something about that elegant dagger triggers the sound of the ocean the bittersweet melancholy of a love just out of reach.
You'll say the dagger is amazing, craftsmanship is exquisite and far too ornate to use in the field. You have the piece displayed on a shelf and regularly maintain the metal to ward off any tarnish, but something about the weight of that blade in your hand, about the way the light shimmers and reflects off the blade puts the sound of roaring waves and the echo of a long forgotten melody in your hear and a heavy feeling in your chest.
Synopsis: BotW Au was sparked bc i started a replay of BotW while being LaDS brainrotted. Xavier x MC centric. The other guys are the 4 champions I swear they better not release a 6th LI or he's gonna be gannon

Ok so i've written a bit abt Xavier, Rafayel, MC, and Caleb, but what about Sylus and Zayne?
Im thinking pre-calamity when its all the champions running about, Dragon!Sylus is the Goron Champion and God of Annihilation!Zayne is the Gerudo champion. I'm playing with Zelda lore a bit with this au and Gorons are now more draconic and, while the gerudo are still overwhelmingly female, the occasional man crops up; more like a 1/1000 births chance vs 1 every 100 years. Being male doesn't automatically make anyone king unless born to the royal family, but there is the superstition that a male gerudo will bring about destruction so they're often raised strictly through community efforts to avoid misfortune (((If you've seen Genie Make a Wish on netflix, it's similar to how ever member of the community works to raise the FMC to be a productive and positive member of the village in spite of her sociopathy and violent urges through kindness, patience, and redirection)).
Now on to the juicy bits~
Champion Dragon!Sylus is the Goron Champion. Gorons are more fiends/dragons in this AU. They seem a little monstrous and intimidating, but like most people in hyrule, they just wanna do their own thing. Gems, Ore, and spices are a common export from the region so merchants are often coming and going. Most Hyrulians rarely interact directly with the Fiends of the Goron region aside from traveling merchants. Yes, Beedle is in this au bc how could i not and Beedle is tight with some fiends, notably Sylus. Now Sylus here is interesting bc he's not 100% fiend. I haven't checked the dragon myth in a minute so bare with any inaccuracies.
Sylus in this AU is Half Fiend. He has a more human appearance mixed with his dragon attributes. Since most people outside of a select few blessed by the goddess Hylia herself have ever even seen a dragon, so to both fiend and human alike, Sylus is unnerving. Sylus had a rough childhood, his mom (the fiend half) died when he was young and his horns, tail, and claws often scared away normal humans, thinking him a monster. He did interact with MC a few times as children thanks to Josephine traveling to the Goron region for gem components for her experiments. Around the Goron stable, MC wandered off and stumbled into a cave where she found kid!DragonSylus. She befriended him, saying she liked his horns and tail, they were cool! and they ended up playing together. Having another kid not run screaming from him and treat him with kindness made Sylus want to grow up and want to be better and happier than he was at present. As time passed, he got stronger, confident, and smarter. he was able to amass wealth and power thanks to a traveling merchant that cared more for coin and insects than Sylus' appearance and also began tinkering with various materials and mechanical things. Given the resources, he likely would have had a lab like Robby's in BOTW. As an adult, Sylus has a mechanical bird be constucted using some Sheikah tech remnants and named him Mephesto. He modeled it after the crows he and MC chased around the Goron Stable as kids.
Upon meeting back up again as adults, they're surprised to see each other and actually don't recognize each other at first. While Champion!Sylus definitely likes MC, in this particular AU he can see how MC looks at Prince Xavier and how Prince Xavier stares at MC when she isn't looking and understands who has won her heart. He develops a soft spot for MC and joins their cause. He uses the excuse that 'who would buy my gems during this calamity? My business would be ruined ha 💸ha 💸 ha 💸' While the group is in the Goron region, he often encourages MC to go for what she wants, and after the Sword that Seals the Darkness chooses her, they have a long conversion again about what MC actually wants to do, not what the fates demand of her. She vents to him that this is all so much and she never planned on being the hero, but now that its come to this, she wants to help, she wants to protect the people of Hyrule with her power. Sylus ends up quickly developing a soft spot for her and wants the best for her, even if that means leaving the knights if that's what she actually wants outside of duty and familial/the king's expectations.
