mika appreciation post (and angels bodycast?)
okay, I get that I’m not the most cultured or knowledgeable when it comes to contemporary music, but why had I never heard of Mika?? Discovered him by accident and now I’m hooked. A fantastic performer with a fantastic voice and the best falsetto EVER. I’m a fan. And once I discovered that he’s actually quite tall (6′3″), courtesy of Google, I couldn’t help thinking of angels!Erik as similarly tall, lanky, and floppy dark-haired (face would be all different, of course, and I think Erik would probably wear a lot more black):
This was one of the first ever body castings I produced out of slipcast porcelain. Throughout my two degrees I specialised in working with Porcelain and Bone China clay. They are both very complex materials but are so satisfying to work with, and the outcomes you can produce promoting their natural whiteness, smoothness and translucent qualities are truly amazing!
