I did tell you guys to expect some robot-vs-robot combat. Expect that in the next batch of pages. :)

Credit where credit it due: Errortale Mettaton’s characterization is heavily based on KuranaMinamino’s (deviantART) backstory, but the physical appearance is based off of the design by @prettypeepers​ (see here) since inverted colors was easier to draw for a monochromatic comic. 

Gray tones here look awful after scanning: some grays ended up getting darker (Errortale Mettaton’s chest and clothing was supposed to be a dark grey, not pure black), other grays ended up disappearing (the scene in the throne room was supposed to have bright dramatic lighting).

I had previously mentioned that there are going to be two other AU Mettatons in this story, and that they would be unofficial variants of established AUs. First one has already been mentioned, so it should be obvious who the other one is going to be. :P 

Maybe my earliest followers would remember this, but back when I started this blog, I briefly mentioned how I attempted to image how Nib might react to Ink and Error AUs; I eventually came to the conclusion that Nib’s interactions with their respective titular characters would turn out boring. But his interaction with the fandom’s Mettaton variants of those AUs... that ended up being a much more interesting concept and I decided to turn my fandom mental exercise into a comic. 

Anywho, the backstory of the Errortale Mettaton variant is attributed to KuranaMinamino (deviantART), though I won’t be using her design (decided to use someone else’s design which will be revealed in the next batch of pages). 

Ended up using some grey tones on Pennie here to avoid the comic looking too monochrome.

Also, new comic frame style.
