🥜 what’s the nuttiest thread you’ve ever had?

oo... so many throughout the years.. but i'd say that for adella the nuttiest stuff i've written is happening since the time i came back to tumblr rp only a couple months ago -- bc i feel like i finally found a good group of ppl who rly embrace adella's villainy and antagonism and the plotting potential that comes from that. ppl who let us go for it and explore lots of weird premises and actions in-thread !! for example ...

i mentioned this before but adella's currently in the process of drowning @maurilyan's character KSMDF (hi again steph LMFAo my reply is halfway written !!).

@melniibone's character ophelia on @domusmortis found adella on the beach after she's caught prey, and to keep ophelia quiet she coaxed perisi tears on her tongue to throw her into a deep sleep. but the magic kind of backfired cuz in that deep sleep lots of nightmare creatures out of both their controls are coming to haunt them. :> also in another thread over there, another character rescued adella out of the ice (not that she needed the help ... you know ... but it was a lure to get inside his house and cause problems :3) ... he has a stethoscope, hearing her weird twin heartbeat, and he's freaking out bc why is this woman freezing cold, icicles hanging off her, and somehow not dead ?? etc. etc.

adella literally poisoning @lunarscorching's undead lich creature as some foreplay ritual ??? then another character she's given her a salve that's temporarily peeling away her ability to love KSDM. tbh everything rambo and i write tg is insane actually.

@sluaghter and mine's main verse where nicholas is helping adella run away from a massive witch hunt -- ppl w torches and everything. they escape through the bog and the people are CHASING after them. all the while they're getting to know each other and having weiiiiiiird conversations. banshees are hatching from the moon. the mob comes rattling the locked doors of the church they escape into, dogs barking, etc... and nicholas is helping her escape and find sanctuary by transporting them (through a 'baptism') both into Purgatory. :3

also everything i write w @koschyei is by default nutty, insane, depraved etc. but what can you expect when both characters are villains tbh. she's stabbed him in one thread in an attempt to get away from him ... they're fighting, being hateful towards each other while also ... behaving rather intimately ... 💀 in another, she snuck OUT of the castle and followed him into his war camp after he got quite literally shredded to bits ... and she's watching his body re-knit itself and poking and prodding into everything. lots of dark magic stuff and more deranged definitions of intimacy. and despite all this ... she's using this also as an opportunity to manipulate him into agreeing to give something up that will help her to kill him bc he's a drowned man and she's trying to kill him. :') she's setting him on fire as part of a holiday ritual in another... he thinks she's cheating on him in modern verse (mafia husband + pop wife verse) and she's yelling at him in the middle of the street at like 2 am saying she's gonna put a cigarette out on his eyes. they're playing tg as kids in their regency verse but they went too far into the forest and baba yaga snatched them up and will soon make their little baby lives miserable ... it's genuinely so hard to summarize these all succinctly with enough context but ... you get the idea i hope KMSD

🍐 how many ships have you considered but rejected for your muse?

If class was six people standing in his hot shop, at least one of whom looked like he'd rather swallow the molten glass than mould it. Not for the first time, Morgan wondered about the sanity of his agent - the very person who'd suggested he do something community-minded, like offer a class, if he wanted to give gallery exhibitions a break for a while. It would look better on his website, they said. Charitable.

Which brings him to today, and the half-dozen faces of varying confidence, including his own. Morgan probably hadn't thought through all the logistics of teaching a class, starting with the way he's set out a few stations of supplies - namely, the thick heat-proof gloves he never wears himself because of his heat resistance, and will now actively have to remember.

👁️ - what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)?

cam's eyes are a deep, warm brown. they are probably one of her favorite features on herself. with eyes being the window to the soul and whatnot, hers are probably the visibly softest part of her face. they're very kind, for lack of a better word, which often clashes with the rest of her face ( sneering lips, furrowed brows, etc. ). when she's in performance mode, her eyes are what convey the persona she's taken on that not. when she isn't, they make her vulnerable.

🍰 - favourite cake flavour? are they specific about types of cakes?

do tastykakes count? she's a sucker for a gas station apple pie/lemon cake. a very cheap date. not picky at all, especially if the fancier stuff finds its way to her via. wealthy patrons or whatnot.

🍃 - do they enjoy being in nature? what is their favourite outdoor activity?

because she mostly lives/works in cities and other more incorporated areas, cam isn't very connected to nature. that being said, she spends long stretches of time in her early twenties in deserts ( think nevada - california area. ) and has an affinity for them. likes to lay on the ground and stargaze in those wide open spaces without light pollution. every time she sees a place with a high density of trees she's like... the fuck?

🙊 - what is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?

calamity has a soft spot for children. she will stand up for them no matter the context, even if she isn't an entirely reliable / trustworthy presence herself. hates to see them mistreated, abandoned, etc. that kind of stuff strikes a personal chord with her for reasons she will rarely ever disclose. a lot of the people she surrounds herself with will casually disparage them ( think: kids in public are fucking annoying! ), and she doesn't go for that at all.

🏊 - can they swim? or are they afraid of water? how well do they swim? how do they feel about swimming in the ocean?

she is not a strong swimmer at all. can keep herself afloat if she has to, but that's about it. she hasn't been exposed to a lot of water in her life and has had very few opportunities to learn. has only seen the ocean a handful of times as well, and it makes her feel very small. she's as scared of large bodies of water as she is intrigued by them

🪤 - what will always lure them into certain danger? a loved one in danger? a promise of something they are always searching for?

one word: blossom. that fucking gecko is her achilles heel, which is justified considering she is kind of the only family she has. a supervillain could place a cardboard cutout of blossom in a tree and calamity would climb it. aside from her, if she's extremely desperate, shelter. calamity prides herself on being self-reliant to a fault and extremely street smart. she isn't easy to fool.

🎵 - what is their playlist like? their favourite artists? do you associate a particular song with them?

though calamity's character and narrative is purposefully anachronistic, a lot of the music she dances to/enjoys is late 90s/early 2000s based. lots of nelly furtado, britney, pussycat dolls, and ciara. i've joked about her being a rabid bad bunny fan before, too. i listen to a lot of the above as well as lotssss of ethel cain, kesha, kali uchis, halsey, tove lo, natalia kills, and rihanna when writing her.

💗 - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they're in love?

a crush vs. in love are two veeeeery different things for calamity. a crush for her is moreso an obsession, and it manifests in her ramping up all her usual traits. she gets more belligerent, more antagonistic, more lustful, etc. because all her emotions are heightened and the thought of having feelings for someone terrifies her, causing her to act out. if you somehow manage to persevere and get beyond that to actual love, she gets considerably softer. a lot gentler, a lot clingier, a lot more physical touch and attempts at genuine conversation. that being said, the edges remain intact, and she also gets a lot more possessive and prone to dramatic attempts to starve off real / perceived abandonment from her partner/whoever.

🌠 - if they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?

the movie was terrible. liz couldn’t even pretend otherwise. the fake blood was so red it looked like candy syrup, and the rubber masks didn’t fool her for a second. she wasn’t even sure of the title anymore. not that it mattered. she wasn’t watching the screen half the time anyway.

what she was watching was ben. the way his eyes narrowed right before a scare, the little twitch in his arm when the music swelled too loud. he probably thought he was subtle. he wasn’t. not to her.

liz shifted a little closer, her excuse thin even in her own head. leaning in a little, she let her hand drift, lazy and deliberate, fingers slipping just under the hem of his shirt. not an accident. never an accident. she pressed the tips lightly against his skin, cool against his warmth. testing. waiting.
