"Your nose is bleeding."

Nemo places two fingers against their lips, and they come away red with fresh blood. The holographic projection in front of them just stands there, hands in their pockets.

"Oh. I-I don't…"

The SQUIP turns their head in the direction of the bathroom. "Grab a towel and keep your phone close in case you lose too much blood."

The moggy gives a thumb's up and goes to the bathroom, grabbing a large towel and wiping away the unending flow of blood from their nose.

"Does this happen t' every person gettin' a SQUIP?"

"No, it doesn't. Your brain is already partially cybernetic, so I had to override some of your programming to install myself. Apologies for that."

"Is that why I don't remember what time I take my meds?"

They nod.

"Well, shit."

Neither speak for a good while. Nemo watches as their towel slowly turns red, before lifting their head to look up at the SQUIP. They looked very different than the one that belonged to that kid in New Jersey; while their outfit maintained the white and blue color palette, it looked like they walked right out of the 80s, rolled up blazer jacket sleeves and everything.

"Sooo…Keanu Reeves, huh?"

"My default model. I can also do Sean Connery, Beyonce, or a sexy anime catgirl with a tail."

"No t' the catgirl. An' what about the accent? Keanu ain't English."

The SQUIP adjusts their tie. "You lived in the UK until you were 26; my programming picked an accent from the all the regions there at random that would appeal most to you."

Nemo's face makes an expression that looks like they ate a whole lemon raw. As a Scotsman, they were unsure of how they felt about that.

"Duly noted. Now what exactly do I use ya for?"

They watched the SQUIP straighten its posture and smile. "Anything you need. File your taxes? Memorize recipes? Schedule your wards' extracurricular activities? I can even-"

"Monitor my health?"

It only seemed fair. Nemo began running diagnostics, and found that a lot of their functions had been wiped and replaced by a new .exe program. Including admin privileges. Yay.

Meanwhile, the SQUIP seemed to be stuck in thought.

"I suppose I could make that my primary function. Is that what you wish?"

"For now."

They raise an eyebrow. "You've got future ideas in mind. They're very interesting to look at."

"Good interestin' 'r bad interestin'?"

Nemo can feel their face heat up as the projection leans down and close to their face.

"Just…interesting. You certainly like to get up to shenanigans, don't you?"

The moggy puts the towel back up against their face to avoid the SQUIP seeing them blush. Stupid sexy Keanu lookalike with a stupid sexy accent…

"I'm in your brain, Ironson. You can't hide anything from me, including those thoughts. So, are we in accord?"

Steam practically pours out of Nemo's body as their body temp rises even higher. If everything in the bathroom wasn't fireproofed, something might have been set alight.

A muffled "Yes" comes out of their covered mouth.
