I love how Charon and Sentinel's stories bring up the subject of "impotence" when exposed to the horrors of war. The two extremes, to be precise. Charon can't do absolutely anything to stop it. He is a dead man among the living, the one who clean the debris and sweep the ashes after the fire. Sentinel, on the other hand, was exposed to several situations where she could make a difference. And she took them. Most of, if not ALL of them.
Is never about being right nor even morally correct. Is about wanting the war to end.
When you are exposed to cruelty, you don't care about what's right or wrong. You just want it to end. And if you are strong enough, maybe do your best to leave some good after.
Charon is merely a concept inside a dead man's body. He is every soldier who couldn't come back home, a mere prayer for the loss of human life. It can't bring them back, but it can offer solace. He is chained to a futile endeavour from every practical point of view but a much needed one from a human point of view.
Sentinel's heavily catholic perspective is VERY important to understand her actions. Not as an explanation but as a way to build a frame from which we can understand her motivations: The strong sense of duty, the need to help the weak, the urge to punish sinners, the constant self judgement over her own actions, the figure of a "demon" that has been associated with her lineage for ages, the seeking of solace in female figures she deems as worthy of love and admiration (Agnes, Marsha), how her wish to pursuit happiness after the war in no way means she would ever justify how much people she killed, but is rather an act of defiance against those who innitiated the war and most likely would never face any repercution about it, etc.
This is just the tip of a far more complex analysis, but one I encourage anyone to at least try to engage with, even a little.

The devs. You are insane. I love you
Imagine being Anjo Nala's partner AHHAJAJAJA God i love this woman
Dating Anjo Nala would be the sweetest thing ever. I believe that, if she could, you two would be cuddled up most of the time.
But imagine how she uses her tail, and horns...
"One, just one Master, please!"
Anjo Nala stands infront of you, pretty as ever, with her hands interlaced in prayer.
"Just one... one scratch?" A scratch behind her horns, that is.
You sigh, comply, very quickly so, and bring a hand up to her hair. She squeals in delight, her cheeks flush pink and she gives you a cheeky smirk as her fangs poke out a little. Anjo Nala always gets what she wants, and right now, it's a good horn rub.
"Ah, so lovely... oh, oh there! Yes, that feels good."
Anjo Nala is just so... beautiful, of course. But so cute too! Your hands move down, practically on pure instinct
"Ow, ow! Master, stop!" You bring your hands up to her cheeks, you can't help it, and you start smushing her face with your palms, careful not to scratch her. In between giggles and whines coming from Anjo Nala, you press a quick kiss to her forehead. After that, you feel another one, a flustered whine this time.
Or another time, as you both lay in bed together, you feel something cold against your back. Well, you're half concious anyway, it could just be a shiver or... yeah, not, it's definetely her. You feel as that scaley tail of hers sneaks under your clothes, and damnit, it's cold, you shiver at her touch, and feel Anjo Nala's smirk from a mile away.
"Heh... okay, i'll stop darlin'."
You sigh, and roll around the bed as you feel her cold tail slowly retreat from your back. God, this woman..
Even after she pulled her tail away, it still remains. It remains wrapped around your ankle, and it lightly nudges your feet everytime it moves. She always does that, it's a thing by now. An habit. And you don't have the guts nor the heart to tell her to pull away.
I wanted to draw something symbolic, connected to the symbolic meaning of plants. In addition to Marcus's flower, the artwork features flowers belonging to other people, which not only represent Marcus but also complement her image (she is not alone in this world and in her pain).
Marcus — Adonis' flower. The flower meaning painful recollection, sorrowful remembrances.
Semmelweis's hand, which left a flower in Marcus's hair, is Arnica. The flower meaning "Let me heal thy grief".
Enigma's hand — Astragalus. The flower meaning "Your presence softens my pain".
