"Good morning, Kaiser~!"
Ness' voice was cheery to an odd degree, a little too happy for how absolutely distraught he'd been the night before β he'd been near inconsolable in tears until he'd eventually dozed off.
"I figured out the solution and I really hope you like it!" The dim lights of the room's lamp allowed things to come into focus as Kaiser awoke from what must have been a drug-induced slumber. There was no other way Ness would have had the time to drag in and set up the massive dog kennel the blonde found himself now locked in.
"I took the liberty of letting everyone know you quit, too. So don't worry... you can relax and just let me know whatever it is you want."
Ness picked up Kaiser's phone from the nearby nightstand. "There should be enough blankets and cushions there, and books... but I'll be keeping this for now. That's okay, right? No more stress~. I know there's going to be an adjustment period but it'll be okay. It's all going to be okay now~."

Perhaps that would make it easier, in the end. Kaiser kept trying to push him away, rip off the band-aid, get him to give up - and now he was abandoning him.
Though was it truly abandonment if they weren't together anymore anyways?
"I...see."
That might actually be good for Kaiser then. To not be stuck here. Experience was a good thing, right?
"I'm happy for you." He lies as he forces a smile back to his face. Why did Kaiser think he wanted or needed anyone else? Why didn't he himself think that instead of leaving this shitty relationship behind?
"Then you'd better get going." His breath catches and he stops himself from tearing up and crying this time. "And you'd better not regret it then. When you come back..."
He grips his arm tightly and stares up at Kaiser, digging for whatever determination he can find. "..I won't look at you the same anymore. So you'd better come back better and deserving of me if you ever want to talk again."
If Kaiser wanted to push him away then fine, he'd push back. He'd cry about it later, but for now he was just ... angry.
Moves to place his hand on the other's head and rubbed it. " Someone's been a good boy lately. "
"Oh, what's this for~?"
It doesn't matter, Ness will accept headpats and praise gleefully. It makes him all warm and fuzzy and he feels like he might melt on the spot... He smiles warmly and inches closer to Kaiser before leaning in for a hug. "You've been good too, you know. You deserve a good tight hug. Did you want me to do your hair again today~?"
He was sneaking up behind him. Arms wrapped around the other's waist before sinking his teeth into his neck. "Mmm."
Ness leans back into Kaiser's embrace at first with the thought that it's a surprise hug. The affection is always welcome, so he jumps when teeth meet flesh and Kaiser bites down. The noise that leaves his mouth after is less of a yelp and more of a whimper mixed with a light drawn out moan and he reflexively slaps his hands over his mouth to quiet himself.
"M-Michael Kaiser!" He whines, wriggling a bit in his arms. "W-warn me first..!"
