Friday confession: a month or so ago I was feeling a little insecure after watching my husband Thomasson flirt with my black friend Audrey. I casually brought up the incident with Audrey after our morning aura portraits with Shirley Maclaine. Shirley was within earshot of my conversation - next time, I told Tiara, make sure you physically walk Shirley off the estate - and said, "The darker the berry, the sweeter the juice." I pretended to understand the reference after Audrey and Shirley gave each other a knowing look. Well, no one told me until today what the phrase really means and now I have an acre of blueberries on the estate that are almost ready for harvest. . What's worse is that I asked Audrey how I could be as beautiful as she, maybe I could get my hair to look like hers? Pictured here is one of the Ronnie's that are a part of the family at RF Jordan. Ronnie has had a wide variety of jobs over the years, but something that he has always been a part of is blueberry harvesting. This past summer the berries were raked from this field, so now they are going through and mowing the fields to prepare for future years. There was not much color in the original photo, so I made adjustments to make the photo more vibrant.
