One of the largest insurance plans in California is not negotiating well with the UC Health system so starting July 10 my dad (kidney transplant recipient, brain tumor survivor, partially blind, with heart issues) may have to go another 30 minutes further to a different hospital. The reason? Because the insurance company doesn't want to reimburse as much anymore.
