Thank you everyone for the wishes on good health! I was good enough to not need another drip just now, I got prescribed tablets two times a day and we are allowed to go out to the woods on walkies and everything, which is very good news! In 4 to 6 weeks we need to go back for another check up and blood test to see if the tablets are doing enough and what might have been the cause? We are not sure. Also to clarify, sorry, Kalium indeed is Potassium :) 

Today's damage report/debriefing: • Went to urgent care - both ears severely infected. • Went to Quest Labs - 5 doctor's orders, 25 blood tests, 3 blown veins. • Came home, briefed psychiatrist on rapidly failing mental health. • Three more days until chemotherapy. Ten days untill kidney surgery. • There is so, so much more. I am not okay. Ah!! I missed his expression! . Took #dad to the clinic for his check-up and to read his periodic #bloodtest result this morning. . #PraiseGod for His Mercy and Grace. . Doctor: "Is he on cholesterol medication?" Me: "No". . Doctor: "Is he on any blood pressure medication?" Me: "No". . Doctor: "Is he on any medication at all?" Me: "No. How is his cholesterol against previous? There was a slight increase in the previous 2 readings and I want to know how he's doing since last reading". . Doctor: "Oh, his total cholesterol has dropped. His LDL has dropped too". Me: "How about his blood sugar? Liver profile? Kidney profile?" . Doctor: "All is good. It's very good for his age. Let me take his blood pressure". . 120/70. My dad is 81going on 82. . My dad watched us nervously (he is hard of hearing). I gave him the Thumbs Up. Five times. Relief. My dad grinned from ear to ear. . Ah... that expression was #priceless! . Bringing my parents for their regular check-ups/ blood tests somehow feels like bringing kids to their exams. In many ways, that's what it's like for them. Many of my customers and my parents are like that. They are nervous about seeing doctors and getting their check-ups. They are still afraid to take examinations. You'll never know what the results are. . In times like this, when the doctors report that their readings are on target, it's like they've scored straight A's for their exam. . I'm glad I have the opportunity to be around them and am grateful to God to be the one to witness that priceless expression of relief, joy and pride. .
